Hello hello!
Hey guys. Apparently October never came. :P
Let me tell you.. ‘08 was absolutely awful. I moved six times, lost my internets, worked long and retarded hours, and lost a kitty cat. With all the stuffs that went on, I found it really hard to get anything comic related done at all. ( I even got suspended from work for drawing. D: )
So anyways, I REALLY AM FOR REALS working on this dumb comic. It’s just been on pause for a little while. So I'm thinking.. should I post some development sketches here in the meantime so yous guys can see what's going on? I like the idea, but I don't know if that's a common thing to do.
I thaaank you lingerers from the bottom of my heart for sticking around and checking on this dusty corner. You have my love.

Love poke! (The comic, that is, not you... not that I don't like you, just I don't really know you, and I don't want this love poke to be seen in a creepy stalkerish way... I'll shut up now. I just wanted to say, there's still interest in the comic, in a non-pressury sorta way. Jeez, coulda just said that?) (YEAH...) :)

freux! come back... : ( hey just, like, alienate all your friends and be a recluse! (that's how I manage comicking) how did you move six times? that really sucks about all that stuff. you know, I was on the forums and someone said something about great char designs and I mentioned your comic and said, "this is long dead but.." hey, maybe you should save up your vay-cay time and just do an "artist's retreat" sorta thing. Also, it helps to carry around your upcoming page, a nice pencil and an eraser with you at all times. never know when you'll get a few extra moments. sorry about teh kitty.. :( :( :( oh I've quit my old comic too :'( we can be in the quitter's club together. (although I started a new one... and you didn't really quit; just takin' a hiatus..) Anywayy... ooh you know what else you could do? do the pencils, and get someone to ink it, and someone to tone it! I could even help out if you want. With the toning. I still have a bajillion tones on my comp, and I've gotten better at art... I hope ;) ANYWAY. you could definitely find collaborators, since you are so talented already-- it's inspiring!

You're art is amazing and your story telling skills with comics are wonderful, but.. I want to say something. I've been on DrunkDuck for almost five years now I've seen incredible comics come and go. It breaks my heart to see webcomics I read be abandoned. Let's be realistic here. At this rate if you are doing a short story, I can see this comic being completed someday, but if you are doing a long story I really don't think I can see this coming to a close with this amount of hiatuses. Will it be 5-10 years? In that time would you even want to make webcomics when you will be busy with even more life issues? You might want to simply write it with illustrations instead of a comic form if it is this hard for you. I'm not saying this to cause flames. I don't want to only flatter you. You know you're good. I want to push you and make you think about your work. Coming back to making comics will only become harder as you get older and become more busy with life. You don't wait for time to make comics, you make the time. I'll be back at your site someday. I never quite leave comics I read. It will be more like in few months or a year.

The sketches let us know that you're continuing to visit the site (though posts such as these also let us know that) and we'd all be grateful to see any more of your work. I hope you have found some stability in '09. '08 was hard for me as well, but for rather the opposite.
