Meanwhile back on the Albion…

A word on star trek canon.

Star trek, like star wars has a lot of canon and non canon fiction. During my research in coming up with this comic I looked into both canon and non canon material and came up with a vague kind of “Albion canon” or at least the basis for it as there's so much to pick from.
Given that trek has been around for so long and had various iterations and has retconned things and so on.
Anyway given that here is a rough guide to how my vision of star trek regards official star trek.

Star trek (original series, animated series and movies) I have treated as canon in the same way 90s trek does.

The Next generation/Deep space nine/voyager and I suppose enterprise. I treat as pretty solidly canon, but certain elements I consider as told by a story teller who likes to embellish, such as the more silly Ferengi stories and that warp 10 episode of voyager.

Star trek reboot movies. Only the first one in regards to the destruction of Romulus, the new timeline is irrelevant.

Picard. as it is mainly set after Albion the main plot isn't relevent, however the romulan evacuation and synth ban are part of Albion canon.

The Lower Decks. sort of canon as told by starfleet officers who have hit the romulan ale.

Discovery. Despite enjoying the series, in Albion canon it is a holo novel about a fictional lost ship and crew.
