the little floaty critter thing is another really old character of mine named Varmint. Also, if you go here, you'll find something interesting: Another site for CTV! Very soon there will be all kinda of extras and exclusive stuff up there so be sure to check it out ^_^
Sorry for the long wait, it makes it look like I threw a fit and left. I am sorry if I alienated anyone with that tirade of mine. Though I really doubt anyone who it apllies to read that rant anyway ^_^ But honestly, if you're gonna say something reminds you of something that's fine but when you're putting words in my mouth or telling everyone it's my influence without asking me if it was, then I get a little annoyed. Especially since I've mentioned the fact countless times in my archives. I'm sure if you thought about it it would seem exasperating to you too. I know some of you think it's nothing to get all bent out of shape over, but I'm trying to make a name for myself and not for an already established artist. I've already made needless changes in attempt to distance myself from him, and it has resulted in some art that I am very unhappy with. I actually like how Tony turned out today(well in one panel at least) but recently while trying to find a picture of Charby that I liked, I realized how crappy he has been looking for quite some time. I know I'm not ever going back to the chibi/Calvin proportions he used to have but I see changes I made on purpose that I just now realize really didn't look spiffy…a few updates ago he was looking buggy eyed? Yes, because I wanted to do something different. I saw a lot of pages where his eyes totally shrank, and they are supposed to be big! I know it didn't look too keen but it made me happier to see than the other pages in recent times. And the same goes for other characters…it's really pushing me into unfamiliar territory, having to change my style because of an unreasonable paranoia. I'm just letting you know that I'm aware that things haven't been up to par lately. I have a lot of hope for this comic to make it someday but I'm also quite depressed about the art. I'm not saying it's horrible, I'm just saying I'm not happy with it and this is why. Nobody really told me to change it, but I did anyway. And after all there is such a thing as coincidence. If I went and jumped down the throat of people who don't know me who have a similar character or style to mine, I tell you what I'd be doing a lot of jumping. I would also be flattering myself to think that maybe they saw my comic and decided to copy me. Same goes for comics or cartoons or movies that have used a joke that I used already. I guess you could say great minds think alike but then I wouldn't know what my excuse is! ^_^ Bottom line already: It wasn't so much that I was mad at being compared to a certain comic, it was me feeling like my words are ignored or doubted. No one likes to repeat themselves more than twice and I'm sure also that no one likes it when people insist even after you've told them the truth.
Anyways, sorry I upset some people (one in particular) I am sorry for the misunderstanding. It was my old art I was slamming, no one elses. I am the least to talk about bad art.
*and EDIT!* Wow, the sucky mood I was in affected this page badly, especially the way Tony looked in nearly every frame. So I fixed it, especially the bottom left which even at the time I was unhappy with. I can't believe he let me get away with drawing him that badly!
X Daggers, thank you for discribing the issue clearly. I assume you may have been using the firefox browser. I had fixed this issue a bit ago, but apparently unfixed it when fixing another. You should be all set now. for your next visit you might have to use this url due to caching.

Sonicfreak: Looks like whiskey. 0.0 Or maybe it's the moonshine from that bootlegger in the really early strips, from 'Blue Moonshine'. "Now, I've seen EVERYTHING!" Heheh.
Awe! Don't become and alcoholic Tony! Don't doooo iiiit!!!
any whoo! ^_^ i can understand what you mean. . .having to change art, even for personal demands, is a very hectic thing to sort through. Stick in there though, you have tons of talent!
wewt, tony rawks xD wonder what kinda alcohol he's got in that flask lol
awesome art as usual, and i hope that you're able to make a name for yourself with the comic and find a style of art you like for the comic ^^
Object of interest #1: Mmm, Tony...
OoI #2: Mmm, drunk Tony...
OiI #3: People start webcomics to improve their art. And MAN, has yours improved. Don't linger on tiny mistakes that don't really matter now, look forward to the future when your art might possibly be improved even further!
OiI #4: I think the problem with the new webpage is that it doesn't work on Firefox. It looks great on my IE window, but I can't make out anything on the other. Perhaps that will help?
OiI #5: You are SO FREAKING FIVE'D for this page.
Um, I visited your website, and I can't see a thing! It's waaaay too small. It's probably because it's flash. Flash is a bit unreliable to have a whole website in when it comes to size (like if you resize the window it gets even smaller, and whatever is wrong with it now). I have a 1024x768 screen resolution.
I'm really excited about you having a website all to your own, tho, so fix it now!! XP
Hehe, Tony reminds me of me when I had a bottle of Smirnoff Ice... delicious... And that thing in the punch bowl is probably the cutest damn thing I've ever seen!
Yeah I noticed the changes. I miss the old days, but sometimes artists have to grow. Just don't worry about changing because of seeming like a copy-cat... plenty of people have the "same" kind of style. And I doubt you could copy JTHM's style totally, anyway. Or anyone for that matter. Everyone does things, especially art, a bit differently. You should do art you like or want to do despite what others (or even you!) think! There's so many people in the world that you're bound to mimic someone by accident.
Hehe, I love Tony in the 3rd panel! That's so like him! I wonder what he was gonna spike it with? Alcohol?
i actually envy your art quite a bit, and the fact that you can get 666 pages. well, just do what you think is good and try your best. i can't say much else. have a great week! ^^
Well, it's your comic, so I would hope you would be drawing what you want to draw. If you think that it looks bad then I'm behind the changes.
However, I'm totally offended with the drinking in today's comic! (just kidding)
But I did find it a little surprising.
I would have gone a different way with this, though. I'd have gone with the line of people spiking the punch, rather than the spike being already alcoholic. While that may be true at the parties I go to, I think the other way is more funny (not to mention a great way to put in cameos).
Now, I'm not saying that this is bad, because it's not. I'm just giving some input of how I'd do it differently, if I were able to.
But as to prove that I am not all knowing, it took me 5 minutes or so to finally figure out the first panel, because the right definition of "term" simply wouldn't hit me.
As for Tony, the 3rd panel is looking very nice. The clothes, the hair, the facial expression (which reminds me a bit of the Grinch, you know, the good one, not the Jim Carey one).
Aww, poor poor Tony! Nothing goes right for him! But a drunk Tony?? I bet that he'll shapeshit like hell and pass down an alcaholic death! But what do I know?! =D

Didn't they translate it wrong and the original number of the beast was 616? I think it was something like that.
