Sales Pitch

Yes, he can if he wants to, step into the light of the sun. One of the perks of being the King! He's not about to go sunbathing or anything because it still doesn't feel great, just above that panel cutoff you bet his eyes are totally squinting. I had actually intended it as a later reveal, but I felt like this was the better way to do it. It's a subtle bit of intimidation, Vampires are well known to hide in the dark, and he's trying to convince K'ale that he's different from other Vampires. Wouldn't serve his purposes well if he were to put on his magic cloak (from some 300 pages or so back) and shuffled in to introduce K'ale to the other Lemuro. Or just waited on the other side of the blackout curtain and hoped for the best.

This is a place we have been before though! When Mye was captured by the Orycalopes, this is where the crowd was gathered to meet their new Queen. The trees are certainly new! Courtesy of one or more of the Lemuro working their magics.

Lemuro don't typically make buildings like the ones on the right, but with only 3 trees to work with (a community space) and the vampires supplying them with Human-made construction materials, they have to adapt to the situation. It's already an adjustment to go from treetop life to living underground.

Also, there's plenty of room for new tenants after his Vampire population has suffered several heavy losses!
