Yeah. Your comment made me breathe a sigh of relief (and chuckle) for Clark at the distress he narrowly avoided. Although I doubt Lady Lightspeed would've been offended under normal circumstances by the song, to hear Clark sing it when she was already in "defensive mode" for Femme could've made the situation--ahem--go south quickly.
I think the song transcends the movie (and I'm certainly not gonna defend the movie) and is still pervasive enough in pop culture--and catchy enough--to pop into Clark's head under the circumstances.
