Does seem Clark is taking being saved for granted, but I suppose things can only happen so many times before get used to them.

I wouldn't say he's taking them for granted so much as he's gotten "comfortable" with the process? i.e. "Why sweat the inevitable?"

Also, he knew Femme was there and saw him, so ... her NOT saving him would be definitely unexpected.
