There isn't a guide to the universe, though I have considered it from time to time, just because of my non-linear way of approaching the universe. I have a few different universes in which I play, most all of which have names I pretty much just use for myself to differentiate them. The one I use for Endless Winter and Sune I refer to as the “Hunters Universe,” while the one for Dimension is the “Pocket Universe” and the one for Prenna is just the “Prennaverse”.

In relation to the Hunters Universe, I know how it began and I know how it ends, the universe itself, and I know more stories in-between than I'll probably be able to tell by myself in my lifetime. It's actually my intention to start hiring artists within maybe the next year to work on one-shots and mini-series to help tell as many of the stories as I possibly can. I started all of this writing prose, and then moved my hand to comics, and I had fifteen or so years of world-building before most of you probably even stumbled across any of my work, so there's a lot of crap I have to work through, and I want to work on all of it at once. But on the off-chance it doesn't work out as I plan, I've already started laying out the framework for telling the fine points of the universe as a series of mini-series and one-shots that would be more manageable for one person to do.

Anthony, who has assisted with layouts over in Sune, is working on the Fragments of Shadows one-shot at the moment. The script has been completed, and the story falls between Endless Winter and Sune in the timeline, dealing with references made in the last few pages of Endless Winter regarding the Manuela Colony of Dolls, and involving the background characters of Lillian and Bethany from the Black Sect enclave Loyalty Hold in Sune. He's working on the designs for that at the moment, because for Anthony, the “world” of the story has to be functional and make sense to him before he can start on sequentials, and what I've seen from him so far is just brilliant.

See, that's generally how I write. Lillian and Bethany served a purpose important to the story in Sune for the development of Chelsea, and to help flesh out the world. The conversation in Endless Winter that Lacey Blue had with Alex regarding Manuela helps to develop Alex's mindset and history, along with the larger scope of the universe. Now from that, I pick a bit from Sune and a bit from Endless Winter and tell another piece of the larger whole that is the Hunters Universe. Beyond that I can't say because FOS is its own story and I don't want to spoil anything.

But you know, if any one of you has questions regarding the universe, just ask, and if I can answer them without spoiling what I consider a major element, I will. Some of the stuff just isn't super important to any of the overall stories, it's just background information that, given the drawn-out nature of online comics and my own busy personal life, just takes me a while to naturally get to. Not a big reveal.

Anyway, I'm gonna jet. It's almost 2am and its Hexx's morning tomorrow to sleep in while I get up with Persephone…who will likely be up in about four hours, so….

BTW, don't forget, MegaCon in Orlando at the end of this month. Come on down and hang out. I'll be at table Orange #1 in the Artists Alley and, you know, I'm thinking at least Saturday if not Friday as well, going out for dinner and clubbing after the room gets shut down, if anyone wants to tag along. Course, the last time I went clubbing in Orlando was at a place called Das Maschine/Barbarella's in 2001 to see the Cruxshadows play. It was my birthday, two days after 9/11, they almost canceled the show, and Rogue dragged me up on stage and asked everyone to sing “Happy Birthday” at the behest of my friends Kat, Chris, and JP. Not sure if that place is still around, so I suppose I need to see what's floating around the city when it comes to punk/goth/industrial clubs.
