Behind The Art Table: TMW (14)

And here is the final installment of these bios =3 And a small word, to explain a bit better the Spidey thing, this is not a rant or anything like it, but more of advice for any new webcomiker who may be reading this and has to face harsh comments for the sake of someone making harsh comments. I personally do not mind at all any comparison to any comicbook character at all, in fact I find it a little flattering =3 Some of the simiralities are coincidential, and in some times intentional, because I do not take myself too seriously and like to have fun every now and then =D Buuuut, to say something is a “blatant rip-off” without really explaining why or what not….that's another story XD
I faced that a lot before I even put out the comic 0_o Everything from “rip-off” to “mediocre” and everything in between in said forum I mentioned briefly in this bio, which in a sense I'm happy it happend because it helped me develop a tough skin for those types of comments (besides the point that I don't really pay mind to those type of things to begin with). Even those words as harsh as it was, it was more the positive reation than negaive, but beware, there will sometimes come a moment where someone for whatever reason, will try to belittle you and what you do. My advise, is that as hard as it may be, DO NOT pay attention to it. Sometimes some criticism will be harsh, but with the truth in it's center, those criticisms are great because it can opnly help you as a creator. On the other hand, be prepared for the “you suck” or “your art is poor” just for the sake of trying to make you feel bad (believe me, after a while, you will tell the difference between constructive criticism and destructive criticism). So please, when you get constructive criticism, though it may sometimes be a bit rough, don't take it personal and keep an open mind to be able to grow as a creator. If you get destructive criticism, be the bigger person and do not retaliate, also take it as something to be able to continue your growth as a creator and as a person. An example this would be what actually someone wrote to me way back when in said forum about Warlord being a “crippled Spawn” (how Spawn even got involved in all this, I honestly have no idea! LOL!) XD Offered no explanation as to why that person felt that way, even when I politely asked to explain what that exactly meant, and came when I had gotten great feedback from many people. So, to not make this any longer than it should be, remember my friends, take all criticisms, good and bad, and use them for your own growth as a creator and person, and even if you feel tempted, do not sink down into a level that is not you and not worth it. Sometimes you will pop and just explode, we all do, even I have before, but just keep doing what you are doing, and keep it fun, and keep it real. And if any “troll” ever tries to attack any one of you, let me know and I've got your back, yo! ;) And now, after what I think is my longest Authors Note ever, I say happy Easter Sunday to everyone, remember to play nice with one another, thank you for reading, and please look foward to the begginig of chapter 8 tomorrow with the chapter cover! =3
Tomorrow: Chapter 8- “We try so hard to be someone, that we forget who we are…”
Used Books: Thank you! He was interesting to write lol XD; Pato Borracho: Si, se a que te refieres. Creo que es porque es algo un poco refrescante tomar un personaje ya hecho, y crear una historia alrededor de el, en vez de crearlo desde la nada y hacer todo de raiz XD; Popenfresh: They do make a good team =3; Peipei: Lol, I hadn't thought about it in that way! Hmm…..; Gibbo; Thanks for the 5, dude! =D; Worstcase: YAY! Welcome back =3; Janen: Yeah, he did put in a few good hits in there for a while =0

Seriously? Spawn? Weird. I read a lot of super hero comics and I really haven't encounter many storylines a lot like yours. There are quite a few Peter Parker/Spiderman similarities, but that's frankly in a lot super hero comics. I think your stuff is pretty unique. (I've never really talked about my comic in forums. If I did, I prolly would get a lot of un-friendly comparisons to Charmed and other witchly things.)

I've received no bad comments so far --only good/constructive ones. But that's probably because I'm not well known yet. xD Bad comments are usually made by people who are jealous and don't want to admit it *shrugs* that's my POV. Just ignore and you'll be fine :) And yes, sometimes good characters are invented right on the spot when doing a comic page ;D *guilty of it* ((And you can tell I've just caught up with this comic when I can finally comment xDD ;P I am eagerly awaiting to see what's next!))

Meh, in my opinion everyone is free to criticise whatever they want. The point with 99% of these complaints is that they are written by braindead nobodies who wouldnââ¬â¢t be able to create anything creative or original even if their lives depended on it, thus rendering their criticism totally meaningless. Therefore I endorse self-criticism.

Yea :s I don't hang around those that criticize another artist's style either :3 Half the time, the criticizer can't even do 1/2 of what they are insulting xD hehe You have a unique style, it's different from everyone elses :3 Don't let anyone get in your way ^^ You have a magnificent gift of drawing and story telling :D

The people who just throw out unsubstantiated insults are the same kind of people who like to start flame-wars in forums. Like a child throwing a tantrum, it's best to ignore them all together. You don't really need to respond to them. Everyone can see what they are from their own comments.

Eh. I don't associate with negative people. In truth, there is nothing that hasn't been done before, so why kill yourself trying to be "original" just because you discover a coincidence/resemblance... That's an interesting story about your design change anyway. Maybe you'll find a new use for Sandstorm.
