004. Just like Jurassic Park
usedbooks on Oct. 23, 2008
Jurassic Park was such a cool movie when I was a kid/teenager (I can't remember when it came out off hand). I remember watching it with my whole family and then later with just my sister. It was the first movie I went to without my parents. The sequels both sucked, and the book was, of course, better. Unfortunately, after seeing Sam Neal in Event Horizon, I can no longer enjoy Jurassic Park. -_-
Btw, it's not really important, but since it's hard to read at this size, I'll tell you that the chalkboard says DNA + Science = Dinosaur

I never caught that "autoerotic" line! I should watch that movie again... No, I never saw "The Piano." Sam Neil is a very good actor. (He does the best he can even when he gets crappy roles.)

btw speaking of Sam Neill, have you seen "The Piano"? omggg he was awesome in that movie. his performance vindicates any bad movies of his ; )

I LOVE JP! I just saw it IN THEATRES last saturday! they were doing a midnight-movie thing at an independent movie theatre in town. It was so funny because everyone there knew all the lines. You know the part in the beginning where the hispanic guy says something like, "Dr alan grant is like me. He's a digger."? well some guy was walking in late and he walked past my row and just muttered the line under his breath. Everyone knew all the quotes, like "clever girl!" and "when you gotta go, you gotta go." It was such fun. I remember when I saw it. Kindergarten. it was the first pg13 movie I saw in theatres. my parents told me that if I got all e's on my report card (lol kindergarten grades) I could see it and I did soo.. the last day of school, we all went out to the movies. We got burger king first because they had JP stuff, like cups and watches or something. Well, that movie terrified the bejesus out of me, but I loved it. we got a bootleg copy and watched it constantly. Anyway, the movie is still terrifying in theatres. lol. god I love that movieee (remember when the lawyer's like, 'are those autoerotic-' and the old guy's like '...animatronic?' lol that one went over my head when I was a kid ; )

Jurassic Park is one of my all time favorite movies. Love the wall paper, or back ground, or what ever it is called. This if funny. But also, I wish they'd quit trying to make things this earth doesn't need anymore. I mean, what would they do with one, anyway?

RE: Event Horizon One good thing did come out of that movie. For several weeks afterward, I could get a scream out of my sister by waiting in a dark hallway with my eyelids turned inside-out. @LanceDanger: True. Frogs aren't even amniotes! They have very little genetic or physiological similarity to dinosaurs. -- Birds or crocodiles would be a far better match. (Frogs, however, are not a strongly regulated and are a very common laboratory model.) @amanda: Jurassic Park 4: Yoshi's Island (Sadly, they are actually making a Jurassic Park 4. The title isn't decided yet, though.)

I laughed at this one, too! It's just straight and to-tbhr-point. :) And Amanda, I agree with you! I saw Event Horizon late at night on cable tv in a hotel room while I was on a business trip. I was already missing my wife and this movie sent my brain into a tailspin! Not only was it bad, it was psychologically disturbing!

Vickie... I literally laughed out loud!!! (^U^) Great job!!!

@amanda: if Event Horizon is the worst movie you've ever seen consider yourself lucky! This page really made me laugh, this is what happens when real science tries Hollywood science!
ghostrunner at 11:04PM, Oct. 23, 2008
jeff goldblume made the movie for me
LanceDanger at 10:31PM, Oct. 23, 2008
Ugh, I remember my best friend dragged me into the theatre to see Jurrasic Park 3 XD Event Horizon...that movie title sound sfamiliar, but can't quite recall at the moment =S Anywho, about the strip, silly scientists, maye they should have filled the gaps with canary or chicken dna, based on that dinos evolved into poultry and such XD
amanda at 10:28PM, Oct. 23, 2008
Oh man - I am such a huge Sam Neill fan, but Event Horizon remains the absolute worst movie I have ever seen ever. Also, the tongue thing would make dinosaurs so much cooler - and there are very few things that can make dinosaurs cooler than they already are...
