014. Hyphenated Botany

Yeah, I know… I haven't been consistent with updates. To put things simply, this comic is not really among my top priorities. Actually, it is just a dumping ground for the inane silliness that clutters my brain and limits space for important things. That said, I am still updating! Maybe a goal of “weekly” was lofty. I'll continue trying to do that, but I'm not going to let it bother me if I don't. I hope it doesn't bother you either.

(Keep in mind that I am on a desperate job hunt in ‘real life’ and have other things that need my attention. After that, my other comic takes priority – and is my personal favorite project.)

All that aside, I hope you enjoy today's update. I have a few ideas floating around in my head, so I might make another update or two pretty soon. I can't help but be a science geek, so I will insert a fact or two… Carnivorous plants typically live in nitrogen-poor soil like bogs and rocky areas. They don't actually ‘eat’ animals, but require them for the nutrients absent from their environment. Like all plants, they undergo photosynthesis for their energy source. (And their main nutrient source is insects, maybe a mouse or small frog. None are man-sized.)
