Well… Poor wolf!
Still having trouble making my explosions and energy effects spectacular!! Probably need more light and dark areas of contrast, and just more… explosivey stuff!
Anyway…
In movies you'll often see someone ‘ride the shockwave’ of an explosion, landing far away from it. Totally unrealistic! The force of a large explosion will blow you apart, and the heat will burn you to a crisp (so I've read…) Unless you're Kimber Lee. She's tough enough to withstand it (but her hair isn't infused with the same energy and so isn't resilient - it'll grow back though…)
RL has been extra weird last few weeks. I'm still creating but my pace has certainly slowed, and my buffer is basically gone! I'm sure a few of you have noticed my commenting has taken a hit too…
Hopefully, I'm nearing the end of that tunnel!

"Probably need more light and dark areas of contrast" It depends on the style. I'm reading some great European comics and their explosions are clean and has no dark areas of contrast :) You did well!

You can't blame them for pouring it on. Too bad about the coiffe. Hopefully, Kim will get into some more hair-raising adventures.

Just caught up and wanted to say it's a fantastic read as always! Love how her powers seem to be slightly overwhelming her in a moralistic way. Don't know if she will start to lose control of the inner demon inside her but extreme power always tends to implode eventually. Love that first panel btw, it grabbed me the moment I came in and made me feel like I was being blown backwards too! Dare I add that the explosion has left her with rather a fashionable looking hairstyle once the scabs have healed! ;)

I backread all your other comments! Thanks so much! I like that you catch some of the subtle things I'm trying to convey, like the fact she's largely competent and confident with her power, but then, the moments where it seems she might crack from the pressure! And I'm gonna give this hairstyle thing a 'thinking-over'!

Damn...poor Wolf. Interesting stuff about the effects of explosions; I did not know that! I love those sleek, deadly drones! Hope your RL stuff levels out for you soon

Ouch. Poor thing(s). Good on you to at least acknowledge movie magic flaws. I try to myself. Glad I worked with a couple firearms aficionados last year who pointed out so many movie flaws to me.

Superman's hair was just as invulnerable as he was. In the comics in the 50s and 60s. Not sure about after that...he was killed in and returned in the 90s.

Which I don't get! Hair isn't living! Does his power also protect his clothes! Don't see how 'the power' providing his invulnerability goes into unliving material... In any case, it doesn't work that way for Kimber Lee... at least not yet! :D

I agree with El CID. This could be a new look for her. Good thing they kept with drones. I had heard some of the pilots were itching for another shot at the agent too. And catching and riding the shock wave of an explosion is like catching a wave while surfing. Sometimes you ride the top and hang ten and others the results aren't pretty.

Yeah, I suspect we'll see those dastardly pilots again at some point! ;) From what I've read, if a shockwave is strong enough to send you flying as far as you often see in movies, then it's likely strong enough to rupture all your organs! But I gotta admit, it's an awesome FX!
