Chapter One- Page 25

I appear to have outdone myself again. I hope it doesn't backfire on me. If you're wondering why this page is in black and white, it's mostly because I was painting gorgeous Fyline there, and wanted her to be in the page. I eventually formed the rest around her. Chapter two will be in all black and white. I think this page could be better than page 13.
So, this is the end of chapter one. Thanks for sticking along on the ride thus far, folks. We hope it only gets better with time.

as an overall piece, this page is the best so far...but in terms of artwork, i think that the face from page 13 is still the winner. For me that face was a moment of genius!!

Sensing as hint of Gillian Anderson in the new character, face wise. Really D0m, this is quite good! Should be interesting to see if you participate in REMIX this time around...whoever gets you will have a hard time deciding which page to remix!

Did you try contacting [b]Cave[/b]? If you run into any artistic quandries, let her know. That woman is eerie. I like how she somehow doesn't look real, unlike Nadya in the panel above her. Look at her eyes; it's like her eyes are pond lilies randomly floating around on the surface of her face. You stare at her face long enough and the entire thing just [i]dissolves[/i]. That reminds me of that horror Youtube video where an uncomfortable mood is achieved by subtly disfiguring all the actors' faces via CG. That kind of effect can only be brought about by an artist who keeps adventuring with his art style.

Wow. How DO you do it? =D (Rhetorical question, not being one of those people who constantly asks how everything's drawn... XD) This is a really good cliffhanger. Can't wait for chapter 2. I think the art shift could really work for you. I agree with Midge, don't make the whole comic black and white, but working in it for a chapter should make your colour work even better when you get back to it. ^_^ Great page as always.

The art looks beautiful and fantastic! the slight expression of shock on Nadya's face is awesome in it's understated portrayal. and Fyline looks good as well and will give you opportunity to draw/paint clevage which is always fun fo everyone. The black and white works for this page in that as someone said earlier in the context of what just happened...but I would change the comic to black and white...the story you are telling with all its awe and wonder needs to be alive with the colors and your painterly style. The only critique for this page....I needed more. 2 panels. I am wondering if there can be more done for page layouts. apart from that beautiful art and nice abrupt ending to the chapter.
