Book 4
EmeraldCity on March 13, 2008
The cover concepts blow my mind. Ever since we decided to go with Drew on the cover Jason and I try to come up with ideas about how to keep this theme “fresh” and on-going. I offer great ideas like “yeah this character is in this book!” and Jason comes up with stuff like this. I am floored by this cover, and just have to let the world know how awesome I think it is!
So here we are, for us book 4 is kind of a new beginning. Book 1 -3 was old works getting touched up and finally finished. Book 4 is all from “the drawing board.” Also, from the writer's standpoint, when I finished the plot for book 2 I really hadn't fully fleshed out the story yet, and it was starting to come into shape when I finished the plot for 3. But now I have full control of the story I know exactly where I need steer us to, of course not everything is set in stone, but it is a lot easy to get somewhere when you know where you are going! Jason and I both agree that book 4 is one of our favorite works as far as plot/action balance is concerned. We get to meet yet more characters and of course see the ones already established. Anyways enough rambling just enjoy!
Also, want to give a big shot out to everyone who took to the time to review and read our life's work to this point. Your support and comments have meant so much and have helped us shape the future of this comic. We hope you stay with us as things unfold!

Hey buddy, as long as the updates keep coming, I'm not going anywhere! :D Also, sorry my review took so long to get out there, but it got busy at work and I wanted to give your review the attention it deserved.

actually Jason most likely will redo the cover without marker because he never liked that it was sooo easy to see that it was drawn in marker. But I still love this version and I am sure I will love the 2nd Darwin: Drew is a great character, but we need to keep him under wraps for a bit longer. The problem with having a story you believe is awesome is you want to tell everyone about it but you can't. Like hearig a big juicy secret that you have to keep!

Is it just coincidence that the carpet on which the kid is coloring with markers is itself colored with marker? Probably. I tend to see connections that are completely irrelevant XD Anyway, this is a great cover! Can't wait to see what's in store for book 4...
