I've been browsing Graves' book on Greek mythology, actually, recently, for some inspiration. By the way, a typo in "charac(h)ter" and it should be "LAY with them and made them pregnant". And in general I think people don't read webcomics as well as printed comics, that's why they have trouble folllowing what's what. Or they just stupid. I personally hate reading off a screen, but hey, since nobody's offering to print our work, we'll make do, right?
Thanks! I uploaded a corrected version. I think the problem is that readers of webcomics read a page a week of many stories so it's natural for them to miss some details, plus honestly I didn't explain myself clearly (it sounded clear in my mind because I already knew where the story was going, but obviously for readers it's not the same). BTW I also read Graves' Greek myths, I think in that book he already implied a lot of the (dubious) theories he expounded in the "white goddess", so if you like Grave's myths you would likely be interested in the White goddess too. Other interesting but a bit dubious stuff about myths are: Frazer's Golden Bough (almost unreadable, Frazer never uses an example when he can use 613 examples, usually decontestualized, and I read the abridged version, but full of stuff, Burkert's Homo necans (a bit boring though), Freud's Totem and taboo (free pdf is online), and Propp's Historical roots of fairy tales (unfortunately not translated in english).
You are right, but in my mind it sounded clear! I first uploaded this comic on an italian website, and at some point I realized by the comments there that people weren't following. The problem is that there are two "rituals" in the plan but in my mind it was clear from what Cneve already said, but for readers it isn't clear at all. So I had to put in this page.

Again, love the informed worldbuilding. This reads like a viable ancient sect/religion.

Hm! I kinda think you should have found a way to explain this in the actual story..
