As you might guess, we really hated Mob Ties. Once I finished putting this page together I actually felt a certain joy that was indebted to the fact that I will never have to read Mob Ties, ever again, and Hark fully agreed with the sentiment. I know it's a harsh review perhaps our harshest yet, but it really is the nicest we could muster.
As always, hit up our forum and let us know what you think - do you like Mob Ties, do you hate it? And why?
See you'ze next week.

Well as a former reader of the comic, I found this review fair and fully reasonable While I did like it, it had a plethora of problems and no one can not admit it did not have the problems said above. Overall, it was the first comic I read when I joined and a experience at best. A problematic, inconsistent and disturbing experience.

I agree with God of War about hunapo. Mob Ties is manga? COULD'VE FOOLED ME. Being drawn in a poor man's immitation of animu in graytones does NOT make one's comic "manga." GOOD DAY, SIR.
God of War at 2:57PM, Aug. 20, 2010
It's just scary when people are still attacking this review, hellbent to defend Mob Ties, even after it's author asked to not do so. I never could bring myself through all Mob Ties. I'm trying, but at first time story jsut confused me, at second, it bored me. And I haven't even got to almost any of stuff mentioned in review. Maybe that's jut not for me. @hunapo - You haven't read any good manga. Sorry, it just shows.

HARSH, lol.

I wonder how many hits this very page gave you guys...

I looked at it once, couldn't figure out what was supposed to be happening or where they were. The art was just too atrocious. To those saying it's meant to be 'manga', manga has no set style. I've seen some manga with amazingly realistic artwork and subtle detailing. So if he's deliberately making it look like that then he's deliberately making his comic look like ass. I didn't read enough to get a big taste of the plot, so I can't say anything about that except it kinda sounded like someone's schoolgirl fantasy.

I quite like the art in Harkovast. I don't know about I Fell Down The Stairs though. But the Harkovast art is pretty good, and sometimes just downright brilliant. Also, it's somewhat original. It takes a medium that some people think childish (pencil crayons? I mean, really...) and makes it professional and interesting. Art in Mob Ties did nothing in particular for me... no real wow moments. But that could be just me. Now. This is assuming that people are insulting the art in comics done by the reviewers... because attacking the art in the review comic is... well, it's stupid because it isn't meant to be taken seriously at all.
stinger9 at 11:06AM, July 15, 2010
So, how many comments does that make now where all it consisted of is "U ARE RETARDED, MOB TIES HAS BETTER ART THAN U!"
hunapo at 6:14AM, July 15, 2010
Learn to see a good comic when you have one right in your hands, retard. I mean, common. Ninja's art is ten times better than yours, and you simply have no comprehension or the ability to enjoy a comic the stature of Ninja's. On another note, your artistic capabilities suck to the moon and back, and Ninja's comic is Manga style. Have you never seen Manga style? It has girls with big boobs and their ass's showing half the time. But you know what? It entertains the mass's. So screw you, your "Reveiw" applies more to your comic than anything.
dragonbolt at 5:05PM, July 13, 2010
on the plus side Mob Ties is still better than the entire Twilight Saga
assortedboxofchick at 2:57PM, July 13, 2010
shit forgot to rate. dammit.
assortedboxofchick at 2:57PM, July 13, 2010
Anonymous...uh...one with green question mark, 105th comment from bottom, you're meant to scratch your eyeballs out at the horrendous and cheap art in webcomic review. It doesn't take itself seriously.
vwyler at 1:14PM, July 13, 2010
One thing should be said for Emo Girls, Mr. Molotov... if you have an army of them behind you, you're set. They'll defend you better than the U.S. Marines.;)
crocty at 12:08PM, July 13, 2010
That's sort of the point of the anonymous button PP. I read a few pages, I got a little bit too bored, but sort of felt it was parodying Manga... Also Comic Sans MS. Finally: Factual error, if the main character was Irish, he would, in fact, be too drunk to do anything, let alone a 15 year old girl. If all 1000 pages were him outcold on his bathroom floor from drinking too much, THEN I'd find it believable!
Product Placement at 11:58AM, July 13, 2010
I'm half tempted to report all the Anonymous posts as bad comments. I have no respect for people who can't stand behind what they have to say. For all I know they can all be made by the same person, macerating as many people.
crocty at 11:51AM, July 13, 2010
YOU GUYS KNOW NOTHING. Actually I don't know, I didn't read the comic. I'll do that now then come back and agree with the comic/comments here.
I Am The 1337 Master at 10:31AM, July 13, 2010
but at times I liked the art, I will admit that.
I Am The 1337 Master at 10:30AM, July 13, 2010
Way to make me look good. Anyone else laughing their asses off at the people defending the comic in utter rage? It's funny! Let's stop laughing so I ca go read what was said in the forums. ...so funny! No but really the comic was too random for all eternity in my opinion. Especially for one everyone seems to read. I kind of like anecdote the few updates I've seen.
Mr_Molotov at 9:15PM, July 12, 2010
Man, offline for a day and Hark and Kev have an army of Emo girls raised against them. well done.
RPGgrenade at 8:33PM, July 12, 2010
well said, fine man
vwyler at 8:27PM, July 12, 2010
Isn't it funny how many of these fellows log in as anonymous? Show some backbone, folks. If you want to take a swipe at Hark and Kev, at least let them know who's doing the swiping. Sheesh.
RPGgrenade at 7:58PM, July 12, 2010
I thought this Discussion was over... And you can be totally oblivious on how to draw art but be an expert of judging it, can't you? Just look at food or wine critics, they don't make the stuff, they judge it's mastery and such... seriously, worst fan yet

I want to scratch my eyes from my eye sockets. This review comic..... the art...the atrocity of its art it's so horrible.I want to die from it! some advice if you are going to review another artists art know what art is and perform it at a pro level! you may talk big but your art say's so much more. It tells me that you know nothing about art! What are you a two year old Graphic designer!!!!! Also have ya never heard of negative space IN art. Yes the Mob Ties comic can use some work but if the Author_Ninja keeps it up and make's a few changes he will be comparable with a lot of top web comic/manga artists. Or at least well on the way! I say give the Author_Ninja a fighting chance and IGNORE INCOMPETENT ARTIST REVIEW'S!!!
Canuovea at 3:01PM, July 12, 2010
Okay. I ended up reading it. Not quite my cup of tea. Not horrible either mind you. I can understand people who read it aren't doing it for underage soft core porn. I'll go to forum.
Byth1 at 1:07PM, July 12, 2010
Wow, no puns.
