Alright, I've decided that for my 100th page in SoS, I'm going to use it to kick off a brand new sotry arc.
Why is this story arc so special?

BECAUSE…

It is DrunkDuck oriented, and will feature alot of everyone's characters.
a few authors too!

So, I'm going ot ask you up front: do you have a problem with me using your characters in my comic?
(just so you know… anyone who DOESN'T post here, I will consider them to have said yes. so until you make it clear, you're fair game, in my book.)

And YES, everyone will receive due credit for thier characters and ideas.



(Mimarin, you had BETTER say yes, or my entire idea falls through the floor. You're the bad guy.)

So long as you're not abusing the characters, I think most people would be thrilled.

As the author of a comic that uses the characters of authors, it would be pretty hypocritical of me to deny your request. In saying that, go ahead

now, the only problem I can foresee aside from key authors denying me usage, would be to figure out a way to use as many characters from people's comics as possible…

^^; I don't think anyone's going to say No, unless they're very particular about the universe of their characters. I certainly have no problem with it. ^^

i think thats a great idea for you 100th page. I say just go for it, i doubt anyone wont let you use their characters. I know i wouldnt.

Go nuts. My character's probably one of the easiest ones to draw as long as you've played Pac-Man. Don't use the one in my comic as a main reference, since that's the older version.

I'd be thrilled if you'd use my characters, but don't if you don't want to.

This might make you sad, but I'm tempted to say you can't use Kit. Not because of anything you've done wrong, but because -I myself- often feel weird putting Kit in my own comic for various reasons, and I wouldn't want to…mess with that? Mostly because it could be more than a one-page cameo…and…I dunno, I have trouble pinpointing my misgivings, but they're there in my own comic too…

I'll ask him, though, and let you know if he's chill with it.

You know, if you hadn't made at least one Blues Brothers reference, I wouldn't let you use my characters. But seeing as you have… and because you seem like a good enough guy… sure, you can use 'em.

You can use mine from Nonsensical Ravings if you like. As long as you stay somewhat similiar to their personalities, which doesn't matter too much, since they're still loosely defined.

(Just so you know for the future, you should personally ask the people who own the characters you intend on using for permission rather then doing it on the forum like this. Not everyone may read this or notice it and then they would be consenting to your use of their characters unknowingly, at least according to you. Clearly, they wouldn't have really consented at all. That's not a good thing.)

I am not posting in this thread so that you will assume you have my permission to use any of my characters for this momentous milestone.

But I wanted to post here to say that these are always really fun ideas. Make sure you notify one of the admins when it comes out so we can link it on the main page.

um… I knew that.
would it be considered wrong if I integrated one or two guest comic pages (that I plan to do for other people) as pages in this upcoming storyline?

(I.E.: I want to include a guest comic to Wolfie of Wooley Thinking, but I'm not sure if this would be acceptable context to place such a thing.)

I honestly do not want to steal anyone's creations…
