The closest thing to anime regular TV has is 4kids.

Edit: I've read the first 60 chapters of the Death Note manga, so I know the plot pretty well. Damn is it good.

that's your next best option apart from watching streaming video online or downloading as AQua and NLTC advised in prior pages.

But I think the best part of Death note is when L gets the death god's eyes and sees Light was using a fake name, then L punches him, and the fight scene breaks out, and they fall out of the window, and while going down, Ryuk catches them both.

Live action Death Note

I have those on DVD. Actually the first one was in fact the movie as they aired it on TV, With logos and everything. Even the dip to blacks for commercial breaks. It also had the menu for the second movie. But it was an original DVD.

Anyways, my point: they suck. Well, the second one's ok, but the first one's down right awful.
