Yeah, summer is finally here! I've just walked back from the beach, where I had a nice swim. Jebus it was HOT, but it was lovely. :)
A damn wave squished me and I've got water in one ear, but what a lovely swim! Hooray for summer!
It is here anyway…

Summer is here!
The ocean is clear!
I got some beer
and I'm out on the pier!

Turn me around!
I wanna turn myself around to get back to the staa-aaaaart!

Oh, you weren't referring to that Venerea song?

Here it's winter in the night and summer in day. I am saddened that it doesn't snow here; the steep slope in my backyard would be PERFECT for sledding… into a lake.

Hot nights are icky :(
But it's great to wear shorts and t-shirts all the time! I haven't had a swim all year, I'm so lazy about going to the beach…
-plus, big waves scare me.

Do not fret young civilians in the Winter period! According my someone else's calculations, today is the shortest day of the year. This means that it will be smooth sailing from now on.

I surf in the summer. But big waves are still really scary. When I go to the beach I'm always afraid I'll get stuck in an undertow.

All the snow melted from that crazy blizzard a while ago and now I'm going to have a rainy, wet, cold and icky green Christmas. Boo.

Ah, the Southern Hemisphere. I forget that the whole world doesn't experience winter at the same time. That must be cool to have summer there while so many of us are getting into the colder months.

Winter in Canada… Has its ups and downs.

The good:

Edmonton has a world-famous street called “Candy Cane Lane” where people go nuts decorating. It's about 230 houses long- this house had 40 grand worth of lights on it alone. (I think I need some better fitting clothes, everything's too big now)

The bad:

This is the snow at the end of my driveway. It's about 6 feet deep in places where the graters have pushed it aside. There's nowhere to park on half of the street!

Stylish gear Kirsten ^^
That's one of the good things about winter: you can wear good looking clothes.

Ah, there has to be someone else here who's got summer right now? ^^

I feel like I need to say It's cold and hot here because Terminal and Mega Josh said it and they live where I live so I should agree.

damn, it sure is crazy being cold and hot. But really, I think it's pretty damn cold most of the time. I hate the drastic weather change between morning, afternoon, and night.

It's luke warm here. Well, more like luke cool. Kinda cold, but not really. When I moved to pennsylvania, I expected snow in december, not rain! I really do wish it would snow, I haven't used my snowboard in a year, it calls to me…

True, it's always so cold in the morning, hot in the afternoon, and followed by mild weather at night. California is cool like that.

Woo! Christmas in Canada! Edmonton is lookin' pretty snazzy in my eyes, seeing as I live in British Columbia. You know what Christmas has been for us? Pouring rain, blistering winds, power outages, dirty tap water, uprooted trees and the occasional snowfall that never cancels school and disappears before Christmas. Yeah… the westcoast is a jerk. We haven't seen a white Christmas in over ten years. I'm crying on the inside.

Heh heh, the people of “Candy Cane Lane” remind me of my neighbour. He goes all “Christmas Vacation” every year, putting on the most amazing display each year. It's awe-inspiring and almost overwhelmingly holly jolly, but it does bring forth some downsides. First of all, it makes our house look like a scar on the shins of the street. Second of all, it is accompanied by a constant drone of the Christmas classics, which I can hear from my room. And thirdly, it attracts a parade of visitors who gawk mindlesslyas they drive by. Hell, we have freakin' tourbuses passing by on a nightly basis.

Anywho, sorry ozoneocean, but it's not summer for me. Christmas is but a day and a bit away and everyone's in winter mode. Enjoy the sun though! ;)

It's bloody freezing here in England. Not even snowy either, just drizzly and damp and cold… Only good thing about it is that it's good incentive to do my holiday homework and dissertation for University. Temperature outside now is about 3 degrees Celcius…brrrrrrrr.
Didn't get a white christmas this year either. Got one the year before last which was really nice, and last year I spent christmas in the snow…on mount Fuji! haha, that was SO awesome…Though having Kare Rice instead of roast turkey was a bit less awesome.
I'm hoping for at least a little snow on the mountains while I'm home on holiday, since I live in the Lake District where we get more snow than other parts of the country.

In NSW we get the craziest weather. Stinking hot day on Christmas Eve, then on Christmas itself I was all rugged up because it was friggin' freezing.

As of the moment, it's quite nice. Not too hot, not too cold. Just about right (More warm though)
