Your DD Presidential Dream Team?

Okay, so since I have ZERO interest anymore in who actually will become President and Vice-President of the United States (because I personally do not like any of the choices I've been given thus far), I've pretty much decided to write-in my fictional choice for President and Vice-President this year. Thinking along those same lines, I thought I'd add a little relevant fun that makes discussion, too. What do you think of making a (forum-only) contest thread in which you suggest what Drunk Duck webcomic combo of characters would make the best Presidential Dream Team!

Personally, I'd like to see Shades from Star-Crossed Destiny as President:
http://www.drunkduck.com/Star_Crossed_Destiny/index.php?p=346795

and Boo from Shades as Vice-President:
http://www.drunkduck.com/community/view_topic.php?tid=37828&cid=2549&comic_id=18888

A Shades/Shades Team! You can't lose! lol!

Seriously, here's my reasoning:
1. Shades from SCD is young, he's charismatic, bright (oooh, pun!), powerful and has a caring side. He would protect the nation.
2. Boo is experienced, no-nonsense, heroic and has prior leadership experience. She'd guide the president and keep him on-track.

For the sake of these being fictitious characters and the fact that Boo is over 2000 years old, we'll ignore that part that says the U.S. President has to be born in the U.S. (well, that's what Gov. Schwarzeneggar wants anyway, right? :) )

All in good fun, right? B)

So who would your DD Presidential Dream Team be and why?

I want CAPTAIN VICTORY (from “Beyond Human”) or that William “Wolf” guy (from MAYA legend of Wolf)

Hopefully they can help defeat the evil forces that has hijacked your nation and threatens to control and enslave the world.

God bless America.

If it's about DD comics, it'll have more interest in the comics forum.

As for U.S. presidential Dreamteams in general: Me and Fidel Castro.
-Back when he was in his prime.

Mahatma Gandhi and Yasser Arafat.

Nelson Mandela and Hugo Chavez.

Queen Victoria and Margaret Thatcher.

As pres and vice pres any of those teams would ROCK!

Allen, you should make a comics presidential thread in the comics section.

Nadya's totally running for president.

As for real president…?

What about Doctor Who? @_@

Nadya- a tale about what happens to SOME of us when we die.

Currently: Nadya is awake and asking more relevant questions.

Moving this to General Discussion.

Doctor Who? He'd just bugger off and let the minions do their thing.

Being UK based, I often skip over the threads that seem focused exclusively on the US. Apparently there's an pre-election election or something going on over there just now, is that right?
;-)

Anyway, I just looked in on this one by chance and saw Boo - my Boo! - in the running for Vice President. Damn - she'd give Hillary a run for her money! Looking at the other comics here on DD, my nominations would be:

President
Talon (from The Chronicles of Wyrden) because he's charismatic and seems to have two of the traits which are, historically, so often associated with the office of US president - a lack of scruples, especially where women are concerned, and an ability to worm his way out of all sorts of impossibly tight corners!

Vice President
Sergeant Layne McCord (from The Non-Standard Assembly) because he clearly has a military background and is logical, thorough and seems generally decent - just the foil you'd need to keep the engines of state running while Talon was out winning hearts and minds. Plus, not being human, he might just bring in those elusive minority interest votes!

Hmm. They have the fatty vote. Any way we can pit them against annoying health conscientious people like Ricard Simmons and Jack LaLane?

This is very cool ^^

I have a nightmare scenario… Worse than Cheney and Bush Jnr. To me anyway:

Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.

…it makes me shiver :(

There are several actors who I think have made pretty damn convincing presidents in movies. If only we could have these guys running for president (or at least the characters they portrayed):

Michael Douglas, The American President

Martin Sheen, The West Wing

Bill Pullman, Independence Day

Morgan Freeman, Deep Impact

….On a real-life note, I lived in Los Angeles the year they did that carnival of an election with Arnold Schwarzenegger. The ballot was huge, like ten pages full of no-names, TV stars (like Gary Coleman), and even a porn star (Mary Carey), whose “political platform” was cheaper breast implants for all. …I almost voted for her, then thought better of it. ;)
