For breast cancer.
She was lucky. They caught it in the early stages.
Its only the size of a pea. Its only going to be a day surgery.
Her chances of full recovery are 99.5%
So wish her luck everyone!

Absolutely - I'm sure the surgery will go well, and I hope she makes a full and speedy recovery. Best wishes for your whole family - it's hard when you can only care and hope, but THAT is exactly what helps.

They could replace it with a jellybean, then you could call it “breast cancer sugary”! ^_^
I hope it all goes well with her Meemjar! :D

99.5 percent sounds pretty good. I'm guessing it was benign? Still a smart precaution, though. Good luck, and I'm sure she'll be fine!

She's out of surgery now and doing fine.
They're analysing the tumor and the lymph nodes they removed to see if it had spread.
But other than that she's on the mend.

And now good news people!
The tests all came back negative. For the forseeable future, my moms in the clear!

Glad to hear she's doing well, meemjar and I hope she gets a lot better soon.
My mum went for emergency surgery last year so I kind of know how you feel.
Waiting should be banned under the Geneva convention! I'd rather be waterboarded if it meant the news would come quicker.
