Sorry I'm late to the party. :( The good excuse is a caught the flu and my computer died (dead; like, I bought a new one dead). The real excuse is it slipped my mind. I was going to use Yuki because she's flamboyant and outgoing and peppy. But then, I flipped the script and went with Mr. and Miss self conscious. (Besides, I think it will be more challenging to design for their moresubdued personalities.) Sorry again. Hope this is okay.

I actually didn't want to enter in light (or shadow) of the amazing talent here and my lack of fashion sense. But I decided the drawing practice would be fun, and I love a community project. (I don't usually do “competition” ones, but I can pretend it's not.)

Btw, loving all of the entries. Beautiful and creative and such great colors.

I agree - Usedbook's entry brought a very big smile to my face! 5'2" is a great height (I should know!) :D

I admit that I wholeheartedly talked to Usedbooks and asked her to enter…and thank you so much for doing so. It's so important that #pageant is in no way about traditional beauty pageants…and yet, it's in no way not about a traditional beauty pageant. #pageant is how you see beauty, talent, fashion, intelligence, poise, charisma, personality, and that magic of “connection”.
Compeititions (healthy) can really cause people to strive and connect and really compete as almost a team of really talented artists. You've made my summer! Thank you.
Keep those entries coming! I'm holding off talking about the next competition but will soon.

Thanks. I made the dolls and costumes in 1996 believe it or not. So expect this pageant to be a bit dated from me! :) But I knew that it would be difficult to run my comics, create FYC's for the Awards and run the pageant while drawing new pieces of work. So this will do. I'm glad I have a new audience to show them. I'm so in love with every contestant. It would be impossible to choose if this was an elimination pageant. Luckily it's not. :)

See, what had happened was…Manta was at a college reunion when he recieved a phone call of magical magicalness. From VinoMas! Heck yeah he'll be a part of this! So, he grabbed his shiny new DD #pageant 2015 letterman, snuck into one of his least favorite professor's classrooms and snapped this picture. The end! Fun fact: That is mahogany!

I changed Crystal's spelling to Krystal since I already have a Crystal in my story YOUR CHOICE…, coincidance since I guess I really like the name. Anyway I changed the spelling on the Drunk Duck #pageant page and the Drunk Duck @ Facebook Photo Album. All is up now. Interviews, Swimsuit, Talent, and Evening Gown coming in July and August!
