Just curious what kind of production tools all you 3D comicers out there like to use.
I am mostly a hybrid artist, in that I will typically start with a 3D model, and then draw on top of it.
The lion’s share of my 3D work is done in Blender. I occasionally use Gravity Sketch for my more organic shapes, and I have used Z-brush on rare occasions. I am gradually incorporating Unreal Engine into my pipeline as well.
Are there other softwares out there that people here would recommend? I’m always interested in learning about new tools!

I use Blender 2.4.9 for models and Medibang for designs, textures and such. I use the latest blender to finish up and get the models ready to sell.
I tend to dabble in 3D for games and to sell assets but would like to pull together a short film one day.

Daz studio for setting up and rendering comic panels.
Blender and/or Hexagon for modelling and creating assets.
I've tried loads over the years, and various extras for texturing but I've found nothing really beats blender without paying through through the nose or a subscription.

back when I was learning 3D I got really good with Lightwave 3D. Super good. I could model anything pretty easily.
But that was 20 years ago hahahaha! Farrrrk…

You might like gravity sketch. It's a VR 3D sculpting tool that's becoming very popular among industrial designers. Everything is gesture based, like sculpting with virtual clay in a virtual studio. The software is free, but it only runs on Meta Quest VR goggles.
