Happy Halloween! Our topic is horror Sci-Fi. Sc-Fi brings with it a whole lot more interesting things you can do with horror and scary stories and there are so many great examples, from the worlds of HP Lovecraft, Alien franchise, Dead Space, Doom, Warhammer 40K, Event Horizon, the Cell, the SCP universe and more. We were inspired by Bane's newspost about horror and technology and all the cool responses he had. What's your fave horror SciFi?

As promised, here is our Halloween video. Patrons got access to it a day earlier, on Halloween - https://www.patreon.com/posts/dd-patreon-vid-73979608?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator

Speaking of Koji Suzuki, his book Edge is another cool sci-fi horror book. Who knew a sudden change in the value of pi could herald the end of the universe?

Koji Suzuki's Ring series of books is a great example of both sci-fi and tech horror. Ring about a cursed video tape is pretty much straight horror. The second book Spiral explains how the "curse" works from a biological/physiological perspective, while upping the scale to a potential global apocolypse. And then with Loop, the whole story is flipped with a sci-fi twist. The books are trippy horror/sci-fi with cool concepts. Much better than the movies (although the original Japanese Ring movie is awesome).
