Styles are a very individual thing. Emma Clare did a great newspost on them last week featuring a pic of Sailor Moon that she drew in her own style. The cover image here features my own version. Pit, Tantz, Banes and I had a good long chat about all the different aspects of style and how you develop them.

For myself, I sort of just fell into my style, it wasn't something I planned. It's just a sort of stylised realism, mostly made up of all the errors, mistakes and incorrect assumptions of how reality and the human body looks and it just comes out as my “style”.
How did you come up with your style and have you had a go at the Sailor Moon challenge?
The musical feature this week that Gunwallace has given us is theme to the Mystic From Wanzerbe - Long, dry, dusty roads, desert adventure, hot winds, mirages and magic shimmering in the heat haze of the hot red sun above. This music is full of the fire and hot spice of far north Africa. It sounds like a techno Tinariwen!

Today we compare and contrast two ways of making characters: starting with a pure archetype and building it with tropes, or creating a character organically through circumstance and interaction with other characters.
