SS7 43 Night out at Colors 11
skyangel on Jan. 26, 2020
The story so far..
Sarah and her friends are having a night out at a local gay club and she is caught up in a snowball that started with some small irritating remarks from a stranger that tipped her mood in the wrong direction and became compacted by the behaviour of her ex girlfriend Janey whose behaviour she is finding continually annoying. On top of that her new girlfriend Lucy also seems more interested in discussing an upcoming concert with an old flame which leaves Sarah feeling left out.
Sooo… Having first been jolted by a few insensitive remarks from Pippa
and then feeling put out by Janey getting a lot of attention, Sarah's sudden burst of confidence has very quickly started to fizzle out now she's realised Lucy doesn't even seem that interested in her, which now brings her bad mood down on Laura.
Next week: Now her adrenalin's flowing there's no stopping Sarah as she decides to put Laura in her place!
Have a nice week :)

Classic "Fremdschämen"-moment. Is that a thing in English as well? You feel embarrassed for somebody else.

Yes I must remember that one too... I love Schadenfreude* and Backpfeifengesicht** particularly B-) [*that satisfied feeling everyone gets at times when someone else runs into misfortune ...and... **a face that really deserves to be slapped]

Arici: Yes, quite definitely so and unfortunately Sarah's only just started! :) That's a nice word, I shall have to remember it!

Haha ! Such a tart - red bra under white blouse ! I had a mate whose wife did that...and ended up going off with her swimming instructor ! B-) I can see embarrassment looming like late afternoon summer storm, here.

Bear: Haha I'd imagine Sarah's using her red bra as a last ditch attempt to finally get some attention too but it's certainly not having much affect on Lucy. :)

Go Sarah! Go Sarah! Go Sarah! :)
skyangel at 4:55PM, Jan. 28, 2020
PB and J: Haha You tell her! ;)

This? This is not going to end well (except for Sarah, everything ends well for her)
skyangel at 4:55PM, Jan. 28, 2020
DV: Not as well as she hopes though! :)

Nic and Ben: The red bra was Becky's idea and though I'd just had it in mind that it would be black I had no real colour preference but it does do the trick for her quite nicely :) And you sum up Laura very nicely which is why Sarah now feels so guilty as she reflects back to the moment she chose to crush this girls feelings. :)

Wow, that's a huge move for Sarah, and lots of drink-induced confidence! Too bad Lucy is paying absolutely no attention. Can't wait to see next weeks outcome!
skyangel at 4:45PM, Jan. 28, 2020
Gemi: Good point actually because one thing I haven't shown is Lucy's reaction to any of this and her indifference to both her and Laura is something that Sarah finds herself questioning later on!

Well it appears that Fred was (partly) correct; Sarah is out to make a statement. But it all seems to have back fired, and just made things worse...……………………………………………………….. One quibble though. Laura is described as Lucy's "Old Flame." Just wondering if this is an apt description of someone who was the love of Lucy's life (& was it established that Lucy was also Laura's half-sister?). I'm also wondering if Sarah having a go at Laura, which seems to be on the cards, also succeeds in driving Lucy towards Laura. We shall see.

Fruitbat: Well remembered because Ron really did believe Laura was the product of an affair he had with the girl's mother which obviously freaked him out when he thought the two girls were becoming intimate! When he relates the whole story to Sarah though, he explains that after Laura's Gran Mal seizure a nurse at the hospital who had cared for the mother in her dying days, recognized the name and confided in Ron that she believed he had been conned by the mother in a last ditch effort to see her daughter taken care of. (Full story at SS6 pages 51-62)............ But back to the nightclub, and yes, it seems no matter how hard Sarah tries to come out smiling the night has it in for her! :)
