SS7 44 Night out at Colors 12

The story so far..
Sarah and her friends are having a night out at a local night club and since the moment another guest made a few irritating remarks about her, her mood has been in a slow decline throughout the evening. Her ex-girlfriend Janey has been having a ball while her current one seems far more interested in chatting to her own old flame than watching Sarah prance around half naked on the dance floor. Shame on her! But Sarah's determined she's not going to be ignored any longer!

Next week: The night finally comes to an end but the satisfaction Sarah finds in Lucy's arms doesn't make her feel as great as she thought it would.

Oh damn so much has happened since i last swung by, for some reason Sarah feeling ignored is not a uncommon thing to feel when at a club. Its easy to lose controll and start making up stories when drunk enough. I like how we get to know Laura a bit more. I've had a bit of thinking and from the standpoint of where Sarah is right now and how i feel from what i read into it, neither of the girls seems like the right choice for her. Janey is just too much of a party animal and she's really out there, Lucy seems to be a bit too 'safe' for her, maybe even boring (though she's not, but i mean she's constantly looking over at Janey). Nik is not her type either, she might be in a different headspace than Sarah (she's older and wants different things). I think out of everyone Sarah might be the one ending up alone, ,and maybe it would been for the better. Sarah is pretty cool on her own. Maybe meeting the perfect girl would happen offscreen. Exciting to see where this goes.

Udyr: Hiii! Lovely to see you again. That's a very interesting perspective on Sarah's relationships. Sarah has always fared pretty well on her own for sure. Things didn't go so well with Janey, she doesn't seem much interested in Nikki, and although she pursued Lucy very avidly in the early part of their relationship she certainly seems to have gone off the boil now. She is still a romantic though at heart and I think she may always be pursuing her idealistic view of a loving relationship or spend her life feeling she missed out on one.

Sky: Thanks for clarifying about Laura's parentage the other week. And now not thinking straight (no pun intended) Sarah is still mixed up over what, and by the sound of it, whom she wants. Janey was the most important person in Sarah's life, so it's understandable that she can't completely let go, but she really should. And the night isn't over yet . . .

Fruitbat: You sum this up nicely. Sarah wants to move one and find happiness with Lucy so being jealous of her now is probably something she does not want to feel. Her fears about losing Lucy back to Laura are now also playing on her mind as a girl who has felt overlooked for most of the evening might now consider the possibility of ending up completely alone.

Complicated stew of emotions, and alcohol takes the lid off... I had to look back to Janey's "accident" years ago which left her I think with brain damage. The story is that she never fully recovered; I've been wondering ever since this sequence at the club started if that old injury is still affecting her in any way, and if Sarah ever thinks about that.

Fred: Well remembered! That's an issue that comes up later on but for now it's certainly not something Sarah's been giving any thought too. It will be covered though :)
