Sarah and her ex-girlfriend Janey were invited to dinner by a friend of Sarah's who came across them while they were searching for the elusive witch bottle.

Next week: It's Sarah's turn to squirm as Jenny scrutinises the facts behind the Carlingford Curse ;)

DV: I enjoyed Dexter too. I liked the series that had John Lithgow as a creepy serial killer the most.

This is a fun strip, in a rather wince inducing way. Love the expression on Janey's face; I think she's starting to regret her eagerness in accepting the invitation. And the way Alison's all over Jenny, is she making a statement? Or just making more room on the sofa? Hmmm . . . whatever dinner's like, the evening's already looking, well, like it's going to be memorable. I love Sarah's "subtle" changing the subject. I also love the details in the strip, the two cats & the little Tardis. I also like the poster, but while I feel I should recognise the lady, I can't quiet place her.

Fruitbat: I rather like the idea of Jenny and Alison being an odd and rather unpredictable sort of couple as it gives me more to play with and helps create some lighter moments too. I was trying to think of some nice poses for the first panel and came across a pic of a girl sitting in her gf's lap which made me laugh as it felt kind of 'needy' and seemed very Alison. The girl in the poster is Emily Blunt. There are a few iconic posters of famous men like Clint Eastwood and Michael Caine pointing big guns and so I rather liked the idea of having a woman on their wall instead. I had done a colour pencil sketch for this but it wasn't ready in time unfortunately.

I'd be squirming too, with that odd couple's fascination with murder. I looked up the Dexter series and found out that the merchandising included "pens made to look like syringes of blood". Think I'd let someone else taste her dinner before I dug in.
