This week the brilliant Damehelsing (aka Agiebun), comes on to tell us the details of the DD anthology! Last week Boundbun gave us a general overview but now we're having a look at exactly HOW it's going to be done and how YOU can contribute to it. We'll have details and discussion on the DD Discord server as well as in our Twitter and on the forums. Currently there are 5 themes that we're deciding between: Urban fantasy, Noir, Community, Horror and Halloween. We'll have to decide which of those we like best to tie together the whole thing!
The anthology will hopefully have 15 to 30 contributors and should be a giant project: Full colour with many stories and pieces of artwork. Initially it will be a digital only thing (PDF) but then maybe print as well. There will be a NSFW option with more adult content too but that won't be in the main book! This is all to raise money for the site so that we can modernise and update our look.
The musical feature this week that Gunwallace has given us is theme to Hels Ferrywomen - A wall of dark noise assaults and takes over… sail into a vast cavern of heavy, heavy sound, falling in a raining torrent of leaden drops, soaking you deep and weighing you down more and more so that you gradually sink deeper and deeper and deeper… then all of a sudden it eases and the world is lighter.

By the way. All that talk on noir has actually kind of reignited my passion for it. I suddenly have the urge to dedicate all of my collected story ideas and all of my accumulated world building efforts to my main mutant lady Molly lusc. The idea that I have right now is to, once the comic kicks off again by the end of summer, wrap up that comic, and then I'm thinking, after that, how about starting a second, brand new installation of Molly Lusc, rated A, where I take this character and her post apocalyptic noir-esquenesse to grand new heights, and I can incorporate the story of Idfestation into that comic as well. It's just an idea, but that's where my thoughts are at right now.

Drawing the duck as part of a collaberative background yoo-hoo to the reader is definitely up my alley, being one who loves to draw my little symbol here and there in my own comics, as a neat little wink to the audience. Heck, I could draw a duck performing a helixfinger-symbol-hand-salute in my short comic for the anthology, combining both symbols as one. It'll be great😁

Sorry Banes, the latest theories don't support brain compartmentalization like that so much (left vs right brain, etc). The brain parts all cooperate and collaborate seamlessly. XD What does seem to be at play for not feeling up to working on art or things like that is structure in routine as well as a feeling of 'having time' vs 'not having time' for something.
