About

My ‘real’ name is David Tulloch. I've been writing comics since the early 1990s.
I'm a fifty-mumble year old writer and happily married father of two who gets the privilege of being a stay-at-home dad who writes things when the kids and chores let me.
In the 90s I helped create a bunch of comics, such as Pistake, which lasted 12 whirlwind issues. I worked with some wonderful people, but then we all grew up and moved on.
At the end of April 2010 my wife suggested illustrating a few scripts with Playmobil toys (as that way people might actually read them). So Character Development was born as a way of having fun with bad jokes and silly toys.
When I was 44 I started drawing for the first time since I was a teenager. So now there are some comics that show me learning to draw as well.

Trish and Paul were in a band once. The Lipstick Churchills. They even released an album. On cassette. Remember cassettes? The album did modestly okay-ish. The band broke up. They all moved on. Kevin, the bass player moved back to New Zealand. Simon, the drummer went into advertising and wrote jingles. Trish and Paul got married and lived in a council flat. But now, forty-odd years later, an old fan is set to rekindle their forgotten hopes and dreams of music stardom.
