On a side note, the alien king's name mentioned here, “Atlas Adonis,” is not the king's literal name but a rough translation for human language. The king has the name of two of his culture's roughly equivilent mythological figures. The alien language includes sounds that are beyond the human range of hearing, let alone pronunciation.

Oh boy, they are just that narcissistic that they are totally incapable of seeing reality. Although I'm not entirely sure Mach is being entirely up front with them.
