While 'acid rain' was around from the Industrial Revolution onward, and it was noticed and named, the term 'acid rain' didn't enter the popular lexicon until the 1980s (the scientific community started using it in the late 1950s), so it seemed out of place in a 1920s song. But I'm nitpicking.

Lol, this isn't so bad I suppose (for now). I'm not the best artist, but granted those are all for two years ago. [url=http://www.epa.gov/NE/eco/acidrain/history.html]Acid rain[/url] is actually a concept formed over 50 years before the story is set. I don't know once I'll have internet access once I leave for my trip today, but it'll be interesting to see how the rest of this goes. :D
