El Cid sez: Happy 4th of July!

That's Halfpint making oogah boogah faces at the Halfling Thief behind his back in that last panel. Kinda looks like he's about to rush the guy, like he's high on bath salts or something. Which sorta makes you wonder, who'd win in a fight, Halfpint or the Thief. Luckily, thanks to modern computer technology, we have no better idea of the answer than we did before!

We were all pretty impressed by just how meticulously detailed some of the sets were in Attack of the Robofemoids, and the photography was consistently well done. It probably won't change your mind about photocomics, but if you're not a die-hard photocomic hater then don't write it off.

Tomorrow, we'll have a look at the writing and story.

El Cid is half-right. There is only one head for each figure so I don't swap them out for different scenes. But I do repaint the heads for the facial expressions in Photoshop. Sometimes it's as easy as moving an eyeball or a eyebrow and other times I'm drawing new mouths and jaws. In many sequences there's more blending/painting and less pure photography than you'd think.

You know I've never looked up the nostrils of a halfling this much before and I don't think I ever want to again. As to redefining the genre, well I'll entertain any and all suggestions.

My guess is that Bravo has multiple heads for each character, with different expressions painted on, and he swaps heads for different shots. I could be wrong there, but I'm probably in the right ball park.

What impresses me about these comics is that the facial expressions actually change! I haven't seen that done in a photocomic before.

I always wondered the same thing...how does he do this with dolls? you can tell that Bravo1102 puts a lot of hard work into producing this comic. I enjoy it also for the great dialogue he has in it....sometimes I crack up laughing!
