Lite Bites Review: Robofemoids!, p 4/6

El Cid sez: Should make it very clear that the example in the last panel is an extreme one. For the most part, the issue with the repetitive humor isn't that specific jokes are repeated verbatim, but that the humor pretty much all revolves around the same handful of themes throughout the comic. I guess you could say that if feels like it's just one joke, or a few of them, that gets drawn out the entire length of the comic. That got a little bit of grumbling from the reviewers, though Gunwallace did enjoy the “groanworthy” humor.

Overall, the reviewers were mostly critical of the writing for ‘Attack of the Robofemoids.’ So how did we feel about ‘Battle of the Robofemoids?’ Well, tomorrow we'll begin the second leg of this epic review as we find out what the reviewers thought about the sequel. Was it a giant leap for mankind, or a giant dunk in the toilet? Stay tuned!…

The writing process of Attack of the Robofemoids is very accurately described by Angie in the last panel. Considering there is a character in Attack who looks a bit like her, maybe she knows from first hand experience. Did Angie play Weisniewska or is she just friends with Belinda Brandon? A cannibal hooker might make a great actress for an exploitation B-movie.

@Bravo: I've done the same thing before! I do a lot of ad-libbing, and now it's like every time I write a joke, I have to spend a good bit of time trying to remember if (A) I've used it before, and (B) has it already been used on The Simpsons, Family Guy, etc... which it usually has!

Incredibly perceptive and correct and at times I have to admit intentional. And the walking set of tits with a death ray thing? It could be social commentary on the objectification of women? One note with the deju vu in the last panel the page numbers are transposed. Voskov gets it on page 155. I think the repetition of gags is a side effect of my writing process. I'll add-lib a joke as I'm prepping images for the page and won't always remember that I'd used it several times before. Then the page is up and I'm checking some older pages and realize that I've repeated a joke verbatim.
