So what do you do for living?

I'll start. Besides being a full time university student, I work as a security guard/ store clerk at a 7/11 store during nighttime.

I'm in my last year of high school and work part-time in a pet store. Not one with actual animals, just food and toys and stuff unfortunately.

At the moment I am a full time parent and my wife works. Two reasons. 1, when made redundant last year my wife leapt at the chance to get back to work.
2, I have had some health issues over the last few years which have affected my ability to work, or at least the quality of that work so I am getting those sorted before returning to work.
As much as I love my kids I do miss working.

I'm a full-time illustrator and a part-time employee at the local art school right now. Illustration pays most of the rent, but my job at the school pays for groceries, supplies and other stuff. Mostly, I do stuff like getting classrooms set up, making sure profs have what they need and helping the maintenance crew keep the place in working order. It's a lot of living month to month.

Ill get this out of the way first since I'm most likely the first of many.

Full time 2nd shift custodian for a Board of Education building. It's the nerve center of about 7+ schools, ranging from K to 12. Best job I've ever had. Good pay, respect, pension, etc.

Delivery driver at Jimmy John's I work the Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday bar rushes. (from 10pm to whenever they let me go which has been typically 5 to 6am, although, I have worked to almost 7am before)

I'm just a lowly office clerk by day

But I'm a psychic healer part time. I'm just learning to battle demons. Its a rewarding job with a shitty pay. ^^

comic artist, fire fighter, beer drinker, none of which pay, all of them fun. would be nice to have a steady job though that was allright.

Full time prostitute! ^_^

I just have a holiday job at Macy*s. I'm hoping to get a part time out of it. But I have internships starting up in the summer.

I am a foot model. I have to walk about 4 miles a week to keep them in shape and I spend a fortune on pedicures.

not really. actually I'm an account manager for an electronic publishing group with a nonprofit organization. it's a good job, except it gets quite political at times when needing to make the organization members happy because they don't all want the same thing. major ARG-factor there

I get paid to drive slow in front of you on the freeway. Usually the trucks I drive are governed at about 62mph. (100kph for you Non-mericans)

Most fascinating. Is it bad that so far Chernobog seems to have the best gig? Reminds me of “Frazz”, minus the hugely successful songwriter part. (Frazz is a syndicated comic about a guy who worked as a janitor, made it huge with his musical career, but stayed working as a janitor ‘cause he liked it)

I work at a small marketing and communications firm. I do a lot of work with data, creative and social media, which might explain why I never seem to market my own comic (just like doctors tend not to operate on themselves) There’s a good chance Chernobog makes more than I do, too. Thankfully I'm very good with money, so I don't feel poor. Public transit sucks, but gas alone costs more than my pass.

On the side I'm also doing some pro-bono work with marketing experiments for Los Comales, a small local restaurant with a great owner who makes delicious Latin food. If anyone reading this is in London, Ontario – it's on Richmond near City Lights. Food is awesome. Why do I do marketing and then do marketing for free on the side? I take my job seriously, but also most of our clients are chicken when it comes to new things, and I believe creative is the future. Plus, she's really nice and I want to help her business succeed as much as possible!

I'll be unemployed again in a week. – And I live with my parents. I'm so cool. :P

I work summers as interpreter (not as in language but rather like a tour guide and educator) at a state park. No one will hire me year round anywhere because I'm over-educated and under-experienced.

I am a full time live in carer. Pay is crap but its stable

I'm an e-learning educational designer at a university, which means I help develop online and hybrid programmes/courses. It's a bother to explain and would be boring. I can't say I like everything about it, but I get to work from home most of the time (I go in once or twice a week), they've kitted me out with a laptop, mobile phone etc., I earn a pension (of which I hope to see some when I retire, considering I probably won't still be in England at the time), make enough to live easily as a single person, get 40 days holiday a year and sometimes even get things like confernces and travel paid for. (Probably less and less now that the educational budget squeeze is tightening.) But if it makes anyone feel better I am in my 30s and had to get a master's and move to a whole other country for it.
