I just want to say that I love the shoe. I like doing shading like that when it turns out nice. I'll be doing more shading later on. I wasn't really confident enough to attempt a lot of depth before.
I spent some of my graduation money on acrylic paints. I used to paint (about 7 or 8 years ago…) so I wanted to give it another go. I painted Seiko. Obviously, I need more practice with the medium and I should have bought more than just primary colors (creating brown is SO hard…). If you want to see it, click here. (BTW, the ear cuff becomes a regular accessory later. I won't say anything about it, except that it exists later, which is why I always draw it on Seiko.)

I'm glad to see you painting again...It looks awesome. I love to paint. (I agree with Kristen, oil is the way to go.) Like he'd say no to takin' her to the hospital.

Actually, I've just been to the website. It cost $19.95 [link]http://www.ambientdesign.com/artrage.html[/link]

If you would like to experiment with digital art, I'd recommend Artrage2.2 by Ambient Designs. I'm practicing with it at the moment, and it's the nearest thing that I've found to actual oil paints on the computer. And the best thing is that it's really inexpensive. My budget doesn't run to hundreds of pounds, so I was amazed to find it cost less than ã20! (Don't know exactly what that is in dollars, maths and exchange rates not being one of my strong points.)

Thanks. :) Brad is pretty darned adorable most of the time. I probably do need more than red, blue, yellow, black, and white. Very hard to create colors, let alone recreate any if needed. I've never tried oil paints before... My true love is charcoal, but AAAAAAH THE MESS! I'm so clumsy with colors. I can't color worth my life with any media, traditional or digital.

kyaaah so cute!!! nice painting, too!! although if you're using acrylics, I highly suggest buying more. if you only have 3 colors... *shivers*. you see, acrylics don't blend well (when you try and blend them they swirl around and don't really separate) and also, when they dry, the colors change a little. which means if you mixed the color, it'll be really hard to add touch-ups later. At the walmart in my town, they had bottles of acrylics for thirty cents each... so it's not too expensive... (although of course my heart is telling me to recommend oil paints. OIL PAINTS! they're amazing! I...love...them!! *cries*)
