I was probably overly generous with Seiko's office. She's an adjunct professor and would likely have shared space at best. However, she used to be full-time faculty, and, as will be seen in a later chapter, basically grew up there. (Also, her friend Eric pulled strings to help her get in, so an office wouldn't be out of the question for his influence.) It is how I typically picture a science professor's office, a little bigger than closet-sized with no windows.
