I know it's a long shot, but one of our longtime DD members, Xade, whom you may know from main page newsposts and the comic Growlution, is in a dire situation and about to be homeless. Her full situation is laid out here at her gofundme campaign.

I know money is tight for a lot of people, but anything would be appreciated right now. I made a few sacrifices myself to send as much as I could, I know how much of a spiral it is to be in a desperate situation and see no hope. I don't know what else to do now but spread the word. Please help if you can.

Unfortunately, I'm in a very similar situation myself and even had to launch an unsuccessful gofundme campaign of my own; I'm afraid I can't be of any help, but hopefully some others here are little better off that they could contribute even a small amount.

I'm in the sort of same situation (already homeless but trying to get out of it), but will try to get the word out.

The struggle is real folks, been in a tough bind before also so ya have my sympathies. Hope that you both get the help you need, too.

Be very careful out there dudes there are scammers and they smell blood when people are in a bad situation, they will take what little you have and run with it after promising you a way out. It's unfathomably heartless.

I donated an amount. Not much sorry since I have to balance that with funding DD.

It's not too late, the real down to the wire stuff is them finding a place to stay with 3 people, 4 cats and a dog because today the HD were going to board up their home and put the family on the street. THANKFULLY, she's been granted a week extension. I'm going to be personally going over there and helping because she's just over an hour drive away from us.

Such a sad situation… Very hard for me to understand. In my country I think the Health Department only closes down places that sell food, not private homes.

I also put the link up on my Mastodon. You have a very good heart, Amelius. We need more of that in these times.

This got me thinking. Maybe I should use this week's Sunday blog post to let everybody know that if they have a crisis like this happening that needs to be megaphoned out there on the front page they can PQ me about it so I can announce it on the newsblog. What do you guys think of that?
