The fans will come to the rescue with something wonderful like Star Trek Continues. Amazing how some actors and creators who worked on the show threw themselves into the fan productions before CBS put all the restrictions on content and length.

I find this plot quite exciting because we are having a rather emotional discourse here in the real world about the last three Star Wars episodes. Some find the progression of the plot, which Abrams & co had continued under Disney against the fanfiction of the Star Trek community, disastrous. My nephew, a sworn Star Warsian, experienced one of the worst hours of his life at the cinema when some patrons started laughing out loud at the plot of the film and he himself was close to despair. I myself consider the filmed change of the fanfiction plot, which is already considered almost canonical, only logical. - So: Whatever this Star Life development team decides: A lot of people will be left bitterly disappointed.

The Auroratrek sites comes up with so many warnings. But found it on youtube, that's cool. I'd not seen it before. Will have to watch properly soon.

You may be interested to know that although this story was a chance for me to air some of my own personal thoughts on the challenges of writing for a long running series, I was actually inspired by this interesting article Banes wrote for the Duck back in May. Indeed, Disney dropped the ball on those films, but at least the Mandalorian has been okay. This script rang very true for me because of Star trek, I started Albion because the official stuff at the time was falling short, discovery and picard season 1. But since they've managed to make decent stuff more recently I've found Albion feeling redundant.
