Yeah, you can tell the picture was scanned a long time ago, haha. I have other pictures of me doing some really high jumping spin kicks with the katana, but I have to find them.

Here's a picture of me with my katana. It's a really cheap thing, I need to get an authentic katana that can actually cut. I may be cutting for the first time soon! I hope!
I actually took this because I wanted a model to use when drawing myself, which is why I don't have a shirt on. I ended up using a slightly different picture, but this one has more of my sword in it, so I posted what you see here:

I'll do some looking.
I actually have a pretty damn good sword. It looks like a walking stick, but breaks apart. It's a high carbon steel blade, folded 45 times with a 3/4 tang. I love that thing. Was fucking expensive. I want the 15K to get an authentic one made.

Yeah, the problem with authentic swords is how expensive they are. I've seen documentaries on how they're made and it's a very long and tedious process. I'm currently taking classes and after two-and-a-half years of Shinkendo, I really want to try cutting.
Right now I only have several boken (wooden swords), one shinai (a bamboo sword), two suburitou (heavy wooden swords), and two ornamental swords which desperately need to be cleaned, one of which is a sakabatou, or a reverse-blade sword (like the one in Rurouni Kenshin). I really want something that can slice through some thick tatami. Unfortunately, those swords are out of my price range. :(
