I actually never liked ‘80s rock or the whole “hair band” and “glam rock” phases. The ’70s and the 90's were the best things to happen to music. As far as dress, however, there were some fun stuff in the ‘80s, even if a lot of it was really dumb.

What I’m actually wearing in that picture is my dad's old outfit. He used to play concerts in that. I wish I was old enough to watch back then. :(

In the 70's almost all bands had long hair ;)
Glam Rock came from the early 70's. Glam metal is very different, but quite fun, much less focus of emo and teen aggression like other metal, and more focus on straight out sex and fun.

Your dad sounds cool ^_^

Glam Metal is fun. Though I hated it growing up. Glam metal, to me, was the opposite of what metal was supposed to be. Now, being older I can look back on that Glam Metal and enjoy it for what it is… just fun music!

By they way, with most people i talk to in my area (which is the top half of california), we call it “Butt Rock,” and i have no idea where that term came from (though I'm almost certain its an insult). But, I'm from the Bay Area and I say “hella” (we're proud of that word), so what do i know?

Also… side note… I think that the “hair metal”/“hair band” term for this kind of music comes from how much time the guys from, say, Motley Crue (at least in the old days) spend on their hair versus, say, Metallica (once again… back in the day)!

Twister Sister was especially fun.

I'm kind of a combination between Sephiroth and Kefka. I'll be in FFXV

He is pretty cool. He's an excellent guitarist, too. He's met a lot of well-known musicians like Stevie Ray and Jimmy Page (many more, but those two come to mind first).

I like to brag about my dad when I'm not bragging about myself. He's gone pretty far with his playing of the guitar. I'll post a picture if I can find one.

He's got a cool name, too: Storm Rhode IV he has a myspace for business. :)

I'll be in the garage screaming “Rape Me”, giving people the finger and smashing my guitar into an amp if that's alright with all you little metal heads.

I need to get some pictures of me in my Shinkendo uniform. I wear a white gi and a black hakama. It's really fun to wear. :)
I really wish I got some pictures of me in my Halloween costume last year. It was so cool. I was an undead pregenant bride. I had a pretty, white dress, with blood staining and trickling down from a fork stabbed into and sticking out of my protruding belly. I also had a veil, a bouquet, and a baby doll's head at the end of another fork. It was so cool!

Well, at least I can look hot in a dress! (and I don't even need a wig! >:P )

Really, though, there's something cool in someone running around in a dress, cutting people in half.

Here are a couple of pictures of me with some of the makeup from Halloween. Much of it washed off (I just took a shower), but a little eyeshadow still remained. The cuts on my head are from my brother, Stain, breaking a nerf pole over my head, which exposed the plastic within the nerf pole and caused it to cut my head open. This contributed to the blood on my costume. (Not to mention what happened to my shoulder in this first picture.)

(I believe I posted this one a while ago.)
