@Katch: Yay, RA is updating again!

——————————-

Crossing Death cameos a new type of bubblecap and puts our hero in a no-win situation.
That's “Dr. BlkKnight” to all of you.

Excellent coloring on Crossing Death.

Going from Crossing Death to The Crossoverlord…at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverlord/index.php?p=480639 ….the main villian shows the scale he can operate on…and how you can't make an omelette—without breaking a few eggs.
Ooops.
Al Schroeder of MINDMISTRESS http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com—think the superhero genre is mined out?

Think there are no new superhero ideas?

Think again.

Illegal Aliens deals with the fear of rejection with some good characterization there.

The Chronicles of Wyrden updates today and Kalon has no time, as usual.

Fantastic page! :) I'm always in awe of the detail you put into your art, and I love the cross-hatching. The outfits and hair look really cool too.

A new chapter has started in Used Books. Seiko has some sort of plans tonight, which a fried is trying to talk her out of. Oh, and I designed a room for a teenage boy complete with a little too young theme and color scheme.

To be fair, as a guy who just got a little older, my room still has decorations up from when I was 10 years old. It's the greatest inspiration for creativity, and really helps me get into the proper mindset for when I want to be creative. I think the room that you decorated is still relevant / appropriate.

A man and his tv is a beautiful thing.

As for why you should check out Last Words. Well, it's my first update after 5 months of hiatus and everyone loves when a comic comes back from hiatus.

@ George The Dragon - Man, I'm glad it WAS just a one-chicken offense! Very interesting art on this one, I like it! George looks very Godzilla-esque in the first and last frames.

Due East updated today! Wedding plans are in the air – but you'll be amazed by these wedding planners! Linework by me (Allen of Due East) and colors by JustNoPoint of Devon Legacy.

Due East has a great coloring job on the latest page, which is bright and colorful, with some lighting effects and it really adds depth to the panels. I was very impressed with this improvement in the coloring job of the comic.

Raising Hell is an interesting look (and funny to boot) at the life of a couple of kids. Some of these situations are going to be familiar to parents and I'm sure at least one of my friends is going to go through this kind of thing in a good few years time.

The Chronicles of Wyrden updates today and the group are on the move!

@ The Chronicles of Wyrden - Nice splash page there, and a bird's eye shot, too! It definitely gives you some perspective of Leyland's Manor and the grounds nearby. I seem to follow you on these Monday mornings, Doc, but that's cool. B)

Off Hours updated today! The DDC Rescue Team finds the actors and offers them a ride back to civilization on their really cool snowmobiles.

Art by albone of Rival Angels and script by me (Allen of Due East)

Due east is one of those gems here at the DD that I have yet to fully enjoy.
I love the rotating artist from other great comics, and endless cast of DD cameo characters. Great fun and a great concept.
In this page the cast of charcters is about to be rescued from a snowed in cabin.
by an odd camera crew.
Fantastic art by Rival Angels creator Albone.

As for me Surfboards and RayGuns updates today with more bad news for Guitar toting heroes.
I hope you dig.

A typically superb page from Surfboards and Rayguns, as our heroes' plan to defeat the raging fish-aliens suffers a bit of a setback.

Go see it now and learn one of life's most important lessons: “Always finish your beer!”

*************************

There's probably an important lesson to be gleaned from today's instalment of Shades too, if only I could think of it.

It probably has something to do with not trusting politicians but, since most of you have just had to live through one of the longest and most expensive presidential elections in history, I'm guessing you've already learned that one!

The artwork in Shades today is nothing short of amazing. I've rarely seen so many people drawn in such detail in one scene before and with such perfectly executed perspective. This really is the best use of a one-panel layout I've ever seen. The mood feels very quiet and somber too. I'm not used to seeing so many politicians gather in one spot without bickering like children and interrupting each other. XD

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gelotology updated today with a comic strip about the creative and innovative originality of scientists attempting and failing at one goal. Really two punchlines today – one in the realm of sci-fi and the other in the realm of literature.
In Used Books, we see Seiko and her semi-willing assistant attempting to execute a plan that probably went much more smoothly and movie-like in her head.
