so i'm taking a history of art and visual culture class on video games, which is pretty fun except for the kids in it.
bitches will always find a way to talk about their favorite video game which has NOTHING to do with what the professor is lecturing about.

I gotta go to this dumb wedding in a couple weeks- honestly, I can't even remember what the bride looks like, let alone her name.
I finally found something to wear ($8 at the thrift store; not bad). But I only have 3 pairs of shoes, and they're all boots. My feet are weird, so I've gotta wear heels with straps on ‘em or they won’t stay on. Plus, they need be at least 3", preferable more- if I've gotta be arsed to wear heels, they'd better make my stubby legs look good, damn it! These be tough criteria to meet on my slim budget. I might just have to roll up into the synagogue with knee-high engineer boots. ;)
At least it's in Philly, so I get to spend some time in a proper city. God, I miss civilization.

But with shoes of course, it would be a miracle if they fitted :(
Anyway, big hulking boots look AWESOME with a dress. Almost makes me want to be a chick so I could pull off that look. If I was I wouldn't wear anything else.

I'd totally go for the boots- I was the maid of honor at my brother's wedding, and wore my tanker boots with the bridesmaid dress. But it's a… “conservative” crowd, I'm afraid. I guarantee I'll be the only one there with facial piercings. x_X

I got a cat today. :) Apparently his previous owner called him DL, but that's a crummy name so we're calling him Haiku. He's all fat and black and fluffy, and he likes to nuzzle noses.
He's in my sister's room right now, and hasn't met the dog yet, but the dog knows that something is up…he has been pacing and whining and sniffing under the door. Hopefully they get along.
I'm also going to have to find a way to keep the cat out of the basement, our dog is scared of dark places so he doesn't go down there, but a cat could easily get very lost in our basement. Fortunately I was supervising when he was exploring the house and stopped him before he got down the stairs.

So, I stayed home from school today because I'm pretty sure I got some kind of flu. Apparently it's going around.
Also, got kind of hurt last night, because I had asked a girl to chill at the mall with me. She never replied. Her best friend had to tell me she was into some guy. So I'm basically thinking “Wtf”.
And, this girl will not leave me alone (Don't worry, it's nobody here!) Like seriously, I see her in school, BAM, she talks to me. When I get on AIM, BAM, she talks to me. I put new pictures up on Myspace, BAM! She comments them.
SHE WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!
And I'm too nice to say something.
Ugh.

Evenings gets me more money, but it's fucking KILLING my social life…I have none anymore, which is pissing me off.
The most of a social life I have right now because of it is playing Left 4 Dead multi-player with my friends.
I've been trying to get this date setup with someone, but our schedules keep conflicting, which is pissing me off.
In addition, I'm still not feeling great. My brother had strep and has passed a lot of the illness on to me now, which I'm still getting over.
In lighter news, the computer is working great. My bandwidth is being killed right now since I'm using 90% of it on two huge patch downloads for my games. No big deal, though. Every issue I've encountered has been software related and not hardware, which is so much easier to deal with.
I recognized the new girl who started work at my part time gig, and it turns out I know her from around town and I had pulled her over once before. It was bugging the hell out of me since I met her a about a week ago. She's cute, in a nerdy way, but she's very sociable, so it's a little “odd”, but attractive at the same time.
Flash gave me a problem when I tried to install it last time, but I think I know what the issue is…so once that's settled I will start on the animation and comic once again.

Jeebus. I can't figure out what's wrong with my laptop. For whatever reason it takes forever to finish basic computer functions like moving the task bar from the bottom to the side of the desktop and changing the background. Plus when I go through the shutdown procedure and try to turn it off it blue screens on me for no apparent reason.Vista is just annoying the living crap out of me. It shouldn't take 4 minutes to load Photoshop. I'm running a Centrino duo processor and 2 gigs of RAM and it's operating slower than my 5 year old desktop with a Pentium II and 1 gig of RAM at home. This thing should easily be outrunning my old computer but it acts like a piece of crap lately.
And now while looking around for my camera, I've just noticed that my fucking looks like it has been burglarized. My brand new digital camera, some money and several of my videogames are gone. That camera had photos of the market walls I was supposed to be coming up with sketches for my commission. I can't even afford to replace the camera much less the photos and work that I had documented and hadn't gotten onto my computer yet. I'm going to rip my roommate a couple new assholes. I've screamed at him countless times for leaving the door open and he never listens. And he probably won't give a shit this time either since it doesn't look like much of anything of his was taken.
This week has just sucked to all hell and gone. I'm really hoping next week will be better. :(

Hyena H_llWhy would that stop you? If anyone asks, just say “I'm an artist.” Best excuse for odd behavior this side of the planet. Besides, why dress up like someone you're not just to impress someone other person's relatives?

lba. You need a lockbox or something, chained to the wall. Of course someone could just take the whole box, but at least that makes it a LOT harder than picking the stuff up off of the shelf because your room mate is an inveterate imbecile and doesn't care about anyone else bit his pathetic self :)
If it was a big enough lock box, it'd be pretty hard to carry away anyway… You're an artist, you know how to get such a thing and secure it ;)

If it's not a virus you should get a ram upgrade, I have a poopy Intel core duo with 4 gigs of ram and photoshop loads in 20 seconds or less. From what I hear 2 gigs is the very bare minimum for vista running programs.
EDIT: sorry to hear about the burglary stuff, you roommate sounds suspicious, I say take his stuff and sell it on ebay to make up for your loss.

I guess this is less of a vent and more than a share, but I finally decided my major. Broadcasting~ (with a minor in acting). I hate my life, if I'm not being creative that is. Already thought up a few ideas of what I would want to make shows out of. Of course it's wishful thinking, probably end up as a camera man or something, but hey a guy can dream.
THATS IT, ONE OF THESE DAYS MY HIT SHOW “MY TWO UNCLES” WILL GET MADE AND JUST YOU WAIT EVERYONE WILL LOVE IT SEE YOU AT THE SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARD FAGS
also, for no reason
ps, that's probably not safe for work (maybe)

i'm home!! yay. and apparently i brought the warm with me, it's supposed to be 50*f this weekend.
i also went out to try and start the crashed car. it started, however, it sounded like the exhaust pipe wasnt connected at the engine, and so i had this awesome muscle car engine sound. but then i thought, what if that's not what's making the sound? so i shut the car off. since the engine runs, that's pry going to save me a million dollars getting it fixed. (exaggeration for full effect).
but if it costs more than a couple grand, i'm just going to sell it to a junk yard, (we buy any car runs or not, for 1500$)

I've already been in the welding cage at the school seeing what scrap metal I can put together into something. In the mean time, I'm not leaving any of my computer stuff, valuables or paint cans around our place. All my cans are going to a long time friends and the computer stuff is permanently in my backpack next to me.
SkullbieI don't think it is a virus, and I'm planning on the upgrade as soon as possible. I think it's just that my old desktop ran CS3 and the laptop is on CS4 which is way more of a memory whore. The roommate is just a momma's boy who hasn't quite run into the reality that he has to take care of himself and expects the world is going to look out for him. He's slowly getting wise to reality though.

The blue screening thing is apparently some sort of driver issue according to one of my more techno-geek friends. I don't know what that means but he says he can probably fix it pretty easily. Plus I got a new comic inked, which hasn't happened is ages it seems, and it's starting to warm up so it looks like life is getting better.

I have been more motivated than ever to continue making comics recently. ^-^
when all else fails is dead, however. It was so mutilated on my first attempt of it that I just couldn't take it any further. The story is lost from my mind for now, though I'll pick it up again in the future. I have to get back to my routes with some silly, somewhat cliche animish styles just to prove to myself that I can get back on my feet with this whole comic thing. I've got too much drawing skabilities to let them go to waste any more than I have already allowed them to. And as far as humility goes in this case– well, frankly, I know I'm good. I just have to stop half-assing it. I'm very lazy. I'm a sloth. Being a sloth causes me to get sick all the time. I can't be emotionally stagnant any longer. I need to go go go.
GO GO POWERRANGERS. NUH NUH NUH NUHnuhnuhNUH!

I had that problem before and i tried updating my drivers, and it didn't work.
I then easily fixed it by over clocking the RAM.

I haven't tried updating the drivers just because I can't seem to find the updates and I have no clue how to over clock RAM. I just figure I'm better off asking someone who knows their way around the inside of a computer better to do it or to at least walk me through it.

My new pet rat did not get along with my other guys. -_- I've gone at least 5 years and twice as many generations without incident, but something about little Tommy rubbed my boys the wrong way, so now he's cleaning his many wounds in a little cage by my bed, and he cowers and winces when I pet him. Sigh. I used to have a male rat a long time ago who couldn't get along with other rats either. He took naps with me and lived by himself in a cage in my bedroom (he was a fun guy, housetrained and knew a few tricks, came when called… stole keys off my laptop). I'm afraid Tommy is destined for the same fate. (Which is a shame because rats are very social animals.) Either that or he'll be neutered and move in with my female rats. I'm not sure which would be better in this case.

Cats can jump high! We had a kiddie gate in the doorway to my sister's room separating the cat and the dog, as they haven't been introduced yet. Of course, we usually keep the door closed as well, the gate is just an extra precaution to keep the dog from sneaking in when we open the door to get in and out.
My older sister left the door open, though, and I heard a “thump” from out in the hall…went out to investigate and found the cat standing there. Of course, he took one look at the dog and jumped right back over the other way, but it was a bit of an “uh-oh” moment.
Also, second semester starts Monday. Not only do I have crappy classes, but I have no idea whether I have to be at school for 8:25 or 10:54.

We got our cats fixed this weekend, all 3. And they were not happy.
And just because I feel like telling the internet peoples stuff today…
When I was little I was afraid of mooses. I think my dad made me watch Rocky&Bullwinkle or soemthing, but I swear I still have nightmares.
