For panel 1, I originally planned a visual gag where lady cop was holding a pair of handcuffs and scratching her head in puzzlement. But the page layout and speech bubbles made it tricky to show what I wanted, so I switched it to a different joke altogether. Lady cop's line was the first thing to come to mind when I wrote Pepper's dialogue. Sad, I know.

(Thanks again for the artistic advice for panels 3 and 4, JNP.)

Warpedwenger: Thanks. I did. :)

DAJB: I'm not sure it was about judging as much as my regular correspondence with JNP. His brain is hardwired for comic page layouts.

Anubis: That she does.

ghostrunner: Heh. I'm usually the spelling/grammar police, so when I make an offense, I feel shame. ;)

Peipei: No worries, she's up a couple floors and not as quick as the cops. Oh well, at least she tried.

LanceDanger: Thanks!

dueeast: Heh. I've been using PSP since long before I was making comics (mostly to design site graphics). I upgraded last year to a newer version because Amazon gave me a great deal (75% off). – We'll be seeing more of nameless lady cop (she has a name, but it has yet to be spoken).

Tantz: So true, and it's easy to accidentally buy a different shade than you usually buy. ;-)
