I'm 37, male, and I live in Austin, Texas. I'm in an interracial marriage (she's Black, I'm White) of 12 years and going strong, we have two pre-teen sons. We're both musicians, singers and songwriters (I play electric bass guitar as my main instrument, she plays viola and guitar). We're part of a Christian band that performs semi-regularly in association with the nondenominational church we are members of. We're a team on just about everything, including our comic (she co-writes with me and I draw it).

I don't drink. I don't smoke. I don't do drugs. I don't curse. (She doesn't do those things, either, if you were wondering. :) ) I'm pretty mellow and generally easy to get along with. I'm just compulsive about email for some reason… 8D

I have a great job that allows me to work on the comic while I do phone tech support on a 4-day/10-hour a day schedule. I also do non-profit work for an organization that helps encourage self-esteem. I find that very rewarding. Still, as you might imagine, between family, work, band, non-profit and comic, I generally collapse on my days off. :sleepy:

I have been writing and penciling comics since I was 10 years old. I started off an X-Men/Superman/Spiderman superhero team nut. I created a comic about a superhero team and maintained it off and on until 2001 (starting in 1980). I actually did a “conclusion” to the series last year after a 5 year hiatus, just to really say goodbye to the characters. I'm deeply sentimental, so I get very attached to characters I help create.

My name is Maddy, I'm 17. I just graduated, and you'd be surprised how many scholarships are off-limits to people under the age of 18. Not that I applied for any, but if I had…I'm sure I would have been quite irritated. So I'll just do the classic student loans schtick and pay for it later, cursing my younger foolish self.

I'm currently living with my mom, and will be commuting my first two years of college…because it's cheap.

I've been drawing comics since I was 12, and I have been drawing non-stick comics since I was 14 and decided that I was tired of stick figures. The only reason I ever drew them in the first place was because of my lack of artistic talent, but I got over that. Not the non-artistic part, but my self-consciousness about it.

I love Radiohead, The Cure, Oingo Boingo, The Gorillaz, The Killers, The Flaming Lips, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Who, The Beatles, er…you get the picture.

Big fan of Tim Burton and Roman Polanski, not to mention the great Mel Brooks. I was raised on British Comedy (especially those such as Red Dwarf, Bottom, Are you Being Served, Blackadder, and Monty Python.)

I love writing…though personally I try to keep my works to myself. Sure, I've also pushed others to read my stories…but it takes so much effort to do so, that I decided it best to keep my work to myself.

Well, to start off my name is Sammy or Jose depends on where you met me. I'm currently eighteen and am happily engaged to a beautiful and wonderful girl.

I've been drawing comics since I was around two and I've been doing it ever since. I get inspiration from anywhere I can find it. A lot of my comics are more stylistically influenced by Family Guy and Futurama than anything else since I hit my artistic stride just as I started watching those shows. I'm not amazing at drawing which is why I put more emphasis on story and jokes. You'd think a guy who's been drawing his whole life would be the equivalent of Mozart in the drawing world, right? Wrong, but I'm getting better…I think.

I'm more of a forum lurker than a poster, so yeah, that explains my low post count. I'm shy in person (and sometimes even on the net, it's why I'm a lurker mostly) but if you get me started I can talk for hours. Especially about my favorite music. I listen to metal, punk, and some pop. Bad Religion is my favorite band along with Avenged Sevenfold.

I am so old that I remember when TV was black & white. I'm so old I can remember when Christians were *against* torturing people. A year or two ago I finally stopped hitting on young people - alas, i had finally gotten to the point where people thought it was creepy. Now I have to sit back and wait for them to hit on me, which is more fun than it sounds.

I used to do a lot of political activism, especially around GLBT issues. For years, if you googled my name, it brought up references to groups like the Lesbian Avengers and the Transexual Menace. Nowadays, Im retired from that sort of thing, and the only activism I do is being strident on messageboards. And if you google my name, it brings up my “I pretend to be an artist” website.

I drink a lot of Coke Zero. I watch “House” all the time. I read a lot of comic books. I read a lot of RPG game books, but I never actually run any games. Who has the time? I sometimes go to open mic nights to read my poetry.

I have been married twice, but neither one took. Apparently, I am more fun to propose to then I am to keep around.
