Yep, I have been watching entirely too much Detective Conan. If there is any inspiration for this, it must be the episode titled “Case of the Missing Policeman's Notebook.” That's one of my favorites, but just because I'm a diehard Takagi fan. There is a character in Used Books with somewhat of a Takagi personality too. (Though I didn't start like that.) You'll see him later on.
