There's a lot of truth behind this page. My friend Bethany has the most unbelievable snake phobia. Pictures of snakes in magazines have nearly given her a heart attack. Anything long that could, in her mind, even remotely resemble a snake terrifies her. Absolutely astounding to me… Gael once had her actually quaking and begging her to stop simply by wiggling our draft stopper (one of those long sand-filled things you place against the base of doors) – and she knew exactly what it was the entire time!
Also, I changed my title image. I was going to redraw the characters for it, but I decided to draw some objects instead. Makes a bolder statement of the story and feels “deeper” somehow. Besides, I'm not so fond of my characters in a fully digital format anymore. (It might take a refresh and/or a day or two for you to see the change.)
Peipei: I love fanart. It seems that everyone else draws my characters so much better than I do. o.O
Locoma: Thank you. :-) I have started loosening up and getting more comfortable with my drawings. I actually like drawing action more than talk (though I pride myself on dialog). There are some crazy fight scenes and even a car chase in the semi-distant future.

At least it was a real snake and not a doorstop. lol When Gael was little, her cat used to drop live venomous snakes in her bed while she was sleeping. She just thought it was amusing. Her parents were a little disturbed by it, though.

I think Ethan might give Bethany and Yuki a run for their money. (He's 6'3-6'4 and a hunk of man who works daily on a horse ranch.) A few years ago after an unusually wet summer, snakes sought refuge in out house. I run from the bathroom to find Ethan on the couch (like the lady's feet from old Tom and Jerry cartoons) screaming, SCREAMING...that there was a huge snake on the floor. There was, I took it outside...But, that's when I realized that Ethan does indeed have an Indiana Jones' style hatred of the little slitherers. (He had always told me so, but I thought he was joking. No. Not joking.) Snakes are the only thing that make him whiggy, well and mimes.
