I like the contrasting but similar characters here (shown through their gifts). Brad isn't subtle. He doesn't play hard to get. Toyo is not subtle either. He's a true friend and wants to make it clear that that is all he wants to be. But why? Is it loyalty to his old pal Fudo? Does he really not have those feelings for Kaida? Fear of commitment? Maybe a mix. In any case, Kaida is glad to not have any “romance” right now.

As for Seiko's Valentines… We'll learn on the next page how many she has and maybe their intentions. Hopefully everyone has matured a little since the Halloween fiasco. ;-)

For anyone interested in how my interview went, in my opinion, not well. I got to the bus stop nearly two hours before I needed to catch a bus. No bus came. At 11:00 (the time I was due for the interview), I considered going home and calling to reschedule, but it isn't the way I work. Determined to meet them in person to either reschedule or explain, I caught the bus that arrived just after 11:00 – not the bus I needed, but the driver said that one wasn't due for half an hour. He dropped me off at a gas station where I caught another bus. The driver chastised me for being on the wrong side of the road. I arrived for my interview 20 minutes late and quite tired. The interview took three minutes. After that, they told me they had a number of interviews today and “would let me know.” I translated that as “nope.” I walked up the hill to Wal*Mart and had a mini shopping spree to make myself feel better. I bought a fish and some canvases.

n_y_japlander: No worries. I've speed read through webcomics too, and I totally understand. :) I've got no problem doing recaps and reminders whenever needed.

Peipei: I think Yuki gets a kick out of just living life and lots of spontaneity. That's probably why she likes jumping from job to job rather than getting a steady gig. (Gotta love those sitcom moments. xD )
