Seiko's Admirer

usedbooks on Sept. 8, 2007

I think I went a little nuts… I assaulted Seiko with darken/lighten tools in Paint Shop Pro. A lot of the shading/highlights were softened when I made it darker and reduced contrast for the time of day. I left the second panel bright and vibrant, though, to match Seiko's brief thought (and emphasize the “grayness” of the other panels). Geez, I think I over-thought the coloring for this page. o.O

Anyway, the chapter is starting with an all important inner monologue. If you've been wondering what sort of thoughts are fueling Seiko's actions (and inactions… secrecy), now you know. She is walking around alone after dark, which is something I would never do in my town. But Seiko is always a few degrees too trusting of her fellow human beings, and is perhaps too lost in thought to care.

Oh, and I've been playing with avatars again. This one (below) was my favorite, but it doesn't really suit me (though maybe I'd stop being mistaken for a guy…). I thought I'd show you anyway, 'cause it made me grin.

Peipei: Brad is sure to hear about it later, and Yuki has actually rejected him “for real” a few times, so he'll bounce back. ;-)

n_y_japlander: Well, I hope the color doesn't disappoint.
