I have a little story that pertains to this page…
In order to draw certain things, especially poses and hands, I use myself as a model. I set my digital camera to timed/auto and then pose myself, sometimes with props. Anyway, for this page, I had to draw “positioning to throw.” I used things we had around the house to fashion props. I took my picture and went to draw the page. My roommate Gael is so used to the insanity around our house that when she saw the object on the coffee table, she didn't give it another thought. However, we had a house guest later that week who pondered the deep meaning of a potato with a green ribbon tied around it…
Tantz: Just make sure you have good security. A number of your patients will be armed. ^_^;
Peipei: Pretty typical kind of flash flood. Alas, there is no levy (or they are inside the levy).
Locoma: I always draw their heads a little too big. That doesn't bother me too much, but thick necks do. (I actually redrew her neck in panel 4 too. Originally it was too fat.)

Can they make it safe to the otherside without anything going wrong?

XD lol I usually use my wooden art mannequin to pose for me, and still, when friends enter my room, they don't get used to seeing the many wacky poses "Charly" (the wooden mannequin lol) is in XD

You know, you have this way of telling a story - a consistent story! I have to admire your tenacity with this series! I've seen your archives and there is indeed an evolution! The longevity and consistency make it fun to read. Good times here!

I sometimes help out a friend who's learning to draw. For a running scene, she filmed me running with her video camera from several angles. But to really get a good run, we went to a gravel road by my old elementary school, so we got a couple of stares. We didn't mind, anything in the name of art, I say.

That's funny :) I work the same way, except I don't take pics. I look at myself in the mirror and go draw what I remembered. If I forget - back to the mirror ;) And I still have some difficulties with anatomy, because I have long arms, which makes me look like an orangutang, so I have to adjust the proportions a bit for my rodents to look right. As for strange objects lying around, there's the old oooooold hooded sweatshirt I had since high school and looks like a rag now. But it's the only hoodie I have, and I use it to draw Ryan's.
