My granddad was a doctor. Dad tells stories about how if he got cut, his dad would sew him up right there at home. I thought about that while I drew this page. I also enjoyed drawing the dog. It's fun to decide how animals react to different characters. They can produce a certain mood, and I like to use them in the plot too – not just as cute ornaments.

Oh, and when Seiko says “safe,” she's (obviously) talking about Ronnie. She hasn't considered Fudo any kind of real danger for this entire time.

dueeast: There's no accounting for taste with animals. lol

LanceDanger: Puck's gotta earn his keep.

Peipei: He was probably following Alex around outside without being seen. Puppies do that sometimes.

Tantz: Heh heh. ^_^;

n_y_japlander: Thanks. I like drawing animals.

Locoma: Not annoying at all. ;-) I see these pages again months after I've drawn them. Sometimes I really feel they don't get the point across, but it's hard for me to figure out what's wrong with them. (I think I needed a different view in the first panel, showing Ronnie getting tripped up.)
